Purpose In collaboration with supervising physicians, provides for the expansion of individualized healthcare services by diagnosing and treating thoracic conditions. Responsibilities include outpatient and peri-operative management of thoracic surgery patients. Responsibilities Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs health assessments and screening. Identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, and initiates appropriate interventions. Timely response to patient questions/issues that arise as triaged by clinical staff and aids with emergencies, as needed.
