THE ROLE
A Music Hall VIP Host will receive hourly pay plus commission based upon sales made, doing so by giving concert information, upselling VIP packages, and communicating with crew members and clients to ensure that guests always receive highly personalized services with the top tier standards to create unique and memorable concert experiences.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
* Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift
* Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
* Assist other employees as needed
* Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
* Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
* Cash handling; bank procedures (cash pull/check out) and payment processing (on point of sales terminal) for both cash and/or credit transactions
* Required to occasionally work special events scheduled within the venue
* Sell Opera Boxes, bottle service and reserved stools in advance of every show and maintain monthly sales goal
* Be present at shows to upsell available VIP inventory to concert patrons
* Serve as a resource of information for VIP clients regarding their experience within the House of Blues venue, including concert times, available parking, etc.
* Give proper recognition to Foundation Members, Live Nation Executives and VIP clients to instill appreciation for their membership and patronage, building strong relationships
* Coordinate operations on night of shows with Ops Director, servers, and security to execute nightly VIP setup
* Ensure guests are always receiving highly personal service
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Required:

* Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
* Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
* Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
* Safeguard against theft and property damage
* Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights, remaining in constant contact throughout the shift
* Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)

Required:

* EMT or other medical background
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
* Willing to commute to downtown area (discounted $7 parking available daily)
* Working environment is fast paced, can be hot, and/or loud
* Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and/or working on your feet
* Must be able to lift or move up to 35 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
