The Housekeeper at Worlds of Fun is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the Guest units, including desks and patios. Duties include:
Keeps storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidy
Uses established procedures to work appropriately with all cleaning chemicals
Removes and carries linens, towels, toilet items and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts
Cleans, scrubs, dusts, sweeps, vacuums and mops Guest units, including kitchenettes and bathrooms to ensure rooms are ready for check in
Empties wastebaskets and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas
Washes windows, walls, ceilings and woodwork
Makes up Guest beds, bathrooms and organize linen closets
Replenishes supplies, such as linens and bathroom items
Reports all items needing repair or maintenance to management
Other duties may be assigned

About the Venue
The Macon Centreplex is comprised of the Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium. The Macon Coliseum is home to tenant hockey team, the Macon Mayhem and sits 9,000 patrons. Family shows, concerts, trade shows, GHSA, among others, are frequent entertainment in the venue. The Macon City Auditorium first opened in 1925 and has hosted iconic greats like Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, and Little Richard. The venue hosts concerts, weddings, private galas, comedy shows, among other events, in its 2,500 seat space. The 10,000 capacity Amphitheater opened in Spring of 2024 with concerts, comedy shows, graduations, and community events.
Responsibilities
Cleans and maintains floors, bleacher and stadium seating areas, walls and windows; empties trash and recycling containers; keeps recycle and garage containers clean inside and out.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/shower rooms and fixtures. Replaces tissue and restroom supplies.
Responds to and cleans up spills and sanitary hazards using appropriate infection control materials and techniques.
Daily litter pick-up of grounds, parking lots, ball fields, dugouts, bleachers, and spectator areas.
Locks and unlocks building; secures facilities when not in use by checking for unlocked doors,m windows.
Reports any unauthorized occupants or suspicious circumstances.
Uses hand equipment and power equipment such as brooms, mops, squeegees, vacuums, blowers as required to clean and maintain facilities; uses ladders as required for assignments.
May occassionally perform minor maintenance tasks such as reset circuit breakers, turn off water in emergencies, replace light bulbs and fluorescents, or perform basic facility maintenance functions such as painting and minor carpentry repairs.
May occassionally, under direct supervision, make minor repairs to electrical switches, plumbing fixtures, clogged drains, and water.
May (with manual or power equipment) remove debris from sidewalks, stairs, driveways, parking lots, entryways, and grounds.
Qualifications
Abiltiy to work flexible schedule based on events, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to follow basic instruction and direction.
Ability to keep equipment organized.
Ability toi perform general labor; heavy lifting is required.

Overview
The Housekeeper position will maintain the cleanliness of all internal facility space as well as the facilities external perimeter on a daily basis. Responsibilities
Set/strike rooms with equipment (tables, chairs, staging, bleachers, risers, dance floor, pipe & drape, etc.) according to pre-determined floor plans for events in an efficient, timely, accurate and professional manner.
Set/strike to include the manual movement of equipment throughout the facility from storage areas to event spaces and back to storage.
Set/strike to include the removal of refuse, cleaning of floors & equipment, etc. to provide a clean event space before, during, and after an event.
Review work assignments and Building Equipment Orders (BEO) with the Set-Up and Housekeeping Manager / Assistant Manager.
Maintain department equipment as necessary, both operationally and in a neat and orderly manner for storage.

Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
Perform customary Housekeeping/Janitorial duties when necessary: Clean floors (both hard floors & carpeted), restrooms, furniture & equipment, walls, windows, fixtures, doors, and other areas and items throughout the facility.
Work on various preventative maintenance projects to maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the facility.

About the Venue
Western Kentucky's award-winning venue - the Owensboro Convention Center - is a full-service facility overlooking the scenic Ohio River in revitalized downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. The multi-purpose center boasts just under 102,000 sq. ft. of available space, including a 44,000+ sq. ft. exhibition hall, the 8,900+ sq. ft. Kentucky Legend Pier outside over the scenic Ohio River, and additional ballroom, meeting, and pre-function space.
The Sportscenter, one of Owensboro's most historic buildings, opened in 1949. It is a multi-purpose, 5,000-seat arena that hosts concerts, sporting events, graduations, trade shows, meetings, and receptions.
Responsibilities
* Arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to work
* Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitation
* Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces regularly
* Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
* Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as needed
* Maintain floors through stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning as needed
* Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisor
* Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment as required
