Exciting new developments include: SAVE, RESTORE, REOPEN When we began this project, our ‘slogan' was “Help Save the Plaza Theatre” but now that the restoration is in progress, we're focusing on the finish line, and are now saying “Help REOPEN the Plaza Theatre.” The restoration project is well underway. Woodcliff Construction of Los Angeles has been working on comprehensive renovation of the historic building since March, 2024. The restoration work will take approximately one year to complete, allowing the Plaza Theatre to open in late 2025. The Palm Springs Plaza Theatre will once again become a major economic driver for the City, generating millions in economic activity by bringing hundreds of visitors and locals per week to the downtown to see quality entertainment. The Foundation has partnered with Oak View Group to bring diverse high-quality programming. When restored, the Plaza Theatre will be the only place available for the entire community to come together and utilize it as an affordable community venue showcasing diverse programming for all people, local youth organizations, promoting multicultural programming in film, music, live theater, education, comedy, and entertainment for all. Merchandisers will serve as Brand Ambassadors, assisting Product Departments in merchandising Gourmet Garden stock, addressing out of stocks with suggested orders, manage out of code product and educate department staff on the features and benefits of the Gourmet Garden range. The role of Merchandiser will allow the teams to focus on and increase sales in all banners while providing our in-store Produce Departments with the highest quality of customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES * Shelf Presentation - In Store Presence. * All authorized items available in each banner at all times per Planogram * All shelf ticketing (UPTs) in place * Display and POS materials clean and in good working order * Attention to "Best Before" date via rotation of stock (FIFO-first in first out), use of IRC (instant rebate coupon) as authorized. * Support promotional activity in place where required and executed effectively at store level; communication with Produce Department and customers * Order Generation - No Out of Stocks * Merchandisers will work in tandem with Produce Manager/department assisting them in ordering product. * Will prepare a suggested order using the one step order pad or scan sheet; will check back room/coolers for stock and refill as necessary * Develop trust and integrity with the Product Department; serve as the order liaison with the goal of having the full range of authorized items available in all banners for customer purchase * Territory Sales/Marketing Opportunities * Identify and implement store level opportunities for increased sales in all banners * Incorporate and communicate core marketing messages that resonate with Produce Departments to serve their needs in the fresh herb category * Be the trusted representative that surpasses the Produce Department expectations for service, knowledge and presentation * Collaborate and communicate with internal Sales team on Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats in territory via SWOT Analysis * Participate in Regional/National shows as requested and as reasonable * Assist in Blitzes to assigned accounts when requested and as reasonable * Administrative Responsibilities * Develop efficient and time effective territory routing * Record daily calls with appropriate before and after photograph * Submit all field activity daily within our Go Spot Check application * Prepare and submit accurate and compliant expense report & timesheet * Check email upon commencing day in the field and respond to email in a timely manner * Participate in regularly scheduled calls or meetings * Weekly reports due on happenings through the week * Monthly picture report REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Proven and successful track record in retail or merchandising environment. * Experience communicating with store management and associates and building positive relationships. * Prior success in meeting performance goals within a structured environment. * Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. * Must be at least 18 years or older and eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship, for U.S.-based positions. * 24 hour/7 days a week computer access for online reporting systems. * Strong computer skills utilizing the Internet, email and Microsoft Office Suite. * Independent, self-motivated and organized. * Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. * Flexible and adaptable and able to work a flexible Monday thru Friday daytime schedule. * Access to reliable daily transportation to travel within your territory. * High school graduate. * Maintain a valid driver's license and car insurance with the STATE REQUIRED MINIMUM coverage.
