The SA serves as a key role within the Field organization as well with our Enterprise Accounts. This is a strategic role that bridges LivePerson Product team, Field organization and Customers and is a trusted advisor to our key customers who understand their business and best practices, as well to our CS account teams, working toward generating and executing strategic account plans.In this role you will:Lead the technical definition, development and execution of all custom LivePerson integrations, Mobile apps and desktop applications and features.Develop solution proposals and design documents that are used in SOWs for work items and manage the execution within agreed parameters.Document work that can be productized and added to the LivePerson offerings.Lead the technical requirements for clients and own the generation, development and throughput of ideas through the product and R&D and QA lifecycle.Develop and maintain relationships within our Tier 1 clients.Work with the wider Customer Success team to generate and execute strategic account plans.Assist the Sales team by producing mock ups and product enhancements of custom requirements that will help showcase the LivePerson solution.Capture and share customer feedback on product enhancements and service offerings.Champion your clients cause by leading client facing and internal discussions around the advancement of new innovative product ideas or use cases for our solution.To undertake your day to day activities within the spirit of our core values.Your qualifications are:7+ years' experience in overall IT system architecture, design, development, deployment experience.Proven hands-on experience leading, architecting, designing, and implementing large scale, high transaction volume, and high-availability integration projects.Familiarity with Authentication and authorization protocols and flows: OAuth2.0 Code Flow, Implicit Flow, Delegation Flow. LivePerson Sales Consultants are the technical subject matter experts who partner

closely with our sales people throughout all phases of a deal.

Scope

● Associate level position, with opportunities to advance

● Reports to the Sr. Director of Sales Consulting North America New Business,

Managers, Engineering, and Professional Services staff

Responsibilities

● Author responses to "Requests for Proposals" (RFPs, RFIs, RFTs, etc.)

● Manage LivePersons RFP tool, ensuring response library along with attached

policy documentation is kept up to date

o Engage with Product teams and Security teams in support of the

above

● Deliver knowledge sharing sessions on LivePersons RFP tool to Sales

Consulting and the Sales Teams as necessary

● Build, configure and manage sophisticated Demo Environments and Proof-of-

Concept environments, for use by LivePerson staff, partners and customers

● Support Sales Consulting teams infrastructure and G-Drive documentation

libraries, presenting updates and holding knowledge sharing sessions.

● Support driving new sales revenue for LivePerson

● Monitor and communicate competitive activity and LivePerson's

● From time to time, support customer conferences by configuring and running

demo stations

Knowledge & Experience:

● No prior experience as a Sales Consultant / Sales Engineer is required

o Desirable: Past experience as a Sales Engineer, Software Developer,

support engineer, QA engineer, Professional Services Consultant,

Technical Writer or IT/Network Administrator

● Able to edit basic HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

● BA or BS Degree, or equivalent

o Desirable: formal education in Computer Science, Computer

● Strong technical aptitude. Fluent in the use of Windows or MacOS, Office,

In this role your responsibilities will include:

* Owning the design and architecture of new highly-available and fault-tolerant

cloud-based databases, as well as how we redesign existing systems
* Taking ownership of the most intellectually-demanding parts of solutions and deliver

* Defining and maturing database best practices used across all engineering teams
* Investigating hard-to-pin-down problems across a complex and distributed architecture

so you can explain root causes and propose solutions
* Making a case for how we stay ahead of capacity issues and limit the blast radius of

issues when a cluster is stressed
* Working with database clients to improve their use of databases (e.g. optimize queries,

evolve data models)
* Helping to set the strategy, feature direction, and roadmap for products with internal and

external customer
* Advocating for solutions that help teams launch quality software without compromising

delivery speed
* Educating-other SDEs on best practices for the above activities; Mentoring other SDEs

to help develop the next generation of Principal SDEs at LivePerson.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or

equivalent training or work experience.
* 10+ years of experience building successful production software systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience configuring any of the following database systems: MySQL, Cassandra,

Couchbase
* Experience managing database systems in a hybrid cloud (on-prem & public cloud)
* Experience debugging and optimizing SQL and data models produced by other teams
* Experienced with distributed event streaming platforms, especially Kafka
* Experience creating architectures that scale with volume and are fault-tolerant
* Familiarity with distributed systems & asynchronous messaging
* Experience tuning distributed systems & software to improve their performance under

increasing volumes of traffic
* Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for

scalability, performance and reliability, in both private and public cloud environments
* Proven ability to dive deep with problems another team is facing and help them identify

short-term mitigations and long-term plans to overcome those problems
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to adapt

communication style to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
* Proven ability to influence without authority up through the VP level
* Proven ability to work in a fully remote environment with people across the globe
