We're currently seeking a “Weekend Supported Living Specialist” who will help adults who experience developmental disabilities to live independently in their own houses and apartments. You'll get to help them make their own choices, learn awesome new skills, and do fun activities in the community. Some folks will need help with chores, and a few people will need assistance to shower or use the bathroom. You'll work one-on-one, so you'll have the time to build real relationships.Your schedule will be Saturdays and Sundays, generally from 9am to 6pm. Your hours will vary between 16-18 hours per weekend depending on your start and end times. *You'll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays that fall on the weekend.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Be able to transport clients in your car: be at least 18 years old, have a current driver's license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least two years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Be able to pass a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.

Experience in developmental disability field preferred but not required.

All UCP Oregon employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception. If you are hired, you will need to provide proof of vaccination (or obtain an approved exception) prior to starting work.

Benefits

$20.52 per hour. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.

We are building a team of compassionate and dedicated professionals to staff our residential services program, providing 24/7 support to individuals working towards living as independently as possible. Our model of care is unique in that we are teaching our residential clients the skills and habits necessary to progress towards living in their own homes as opposed to remaining dependent on others in group homes or care centers.As a TLS you will implement clients independent living goals in keeping with MIMI’s core values and mission, including but not limited to assisting and teaching:

• Personal hygiene/bathing skills
• Medication management
• Budgeting and money management
• Shopping
• Nutrition and meal prep
• Safety procedures/mobility
• Use of public transportation
• Personal/social behavior skills
• Sleep hygiene

Qualifications:

• 18 years old or older
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license in good standing

Position Summary:

In this rewarding position, you will be a member of a team that plans, organizes and implements group activities for residents experiencing various level of Dementia. This candidate will support the Life Enrichment Director in the development, planning and implementation of a wide variety of stimulating and high-quality programs that meet our Residents' daily needs and encourages resident engagement.

Schedule: Full time and Part time available - weekends and holidays required

What will you do in this role:

* Help facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outside time, and many other activities
* Utilizes the standard assessment tool and care plan information in providing daily services to residents and maintains confidentiality of all resident information
* Integrates residents with the outside community through internal activities and outings
* May be asked to drive a 14-passenger van with residents to outings and provides care on outings
* Encourage/Invite residents to life enrichment programming

You have:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* You possess a valid driver's license
* Ability to maintain a customer focus treating others with respect and integrity
