Position Summary:
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures.
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
Qualifications
Completion of a formal accredited Cardiovascular Sonography/Echocardiography Tech program.
1+ years of experience preferred as an Echocardiograph Sonographer in all modalities of Echo/Vascular (inpatient testing for neonate, pediatrics, adolescent), adult and geriatric patients.
Current BLS
Must be registered with ARDMS or CCI within 6 months of hire.
if registered with ARDMS, RDCS is required
if registered with CCI, RCS is required
Vascular Certification is preferred

Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Background in engineering or environmental construction safety preferred
Certifications: Title 17 Lead CDPH, BAAQMD Rule 8, OSHA #500 or #510 (preferred)

Job Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience.
Two (2) or more years in a supervisory or leadership role in healthcare or manufacturing environments.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of sterilization standards, OSHA regulations, and infection control practices.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical device reprocessing and general surgical instruments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and timekeeping systems.
Team-oriented with the ability to motivate and support staff.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification in sterile processing (CRCST) required.
Schedule Information
