A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: Plan, coordinate, and direct a large and important engineering project or several smaller projects with many complex features. Lead a team of EIT's, designers, and CAD draftsmen to produce construction plans, exhibits, reports, tables, etc. as may be requested/required by the client. Forecast and track repurchase obligations (RPO), and coordinate periodic RPO studies with third-party advisors. Manage annual ESOP census activities Serve as primary liaison to external ESOP service providers including ERISA counsel, independent fiduciaries, TPAs, and valuation firms. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other LJA sectors, apply sound engineering judgment, and mentor junior staff - all within a supportive, team-oriented environment that values connection and collaboration. A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE: Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and developing design documents for clients such as MUDs, LIDs, TxDOT, and other governmental + private entities. Design of concrete and steel civil structures such as retaining walls, lift stations, stormwater pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, levee & related infrastructure improvements. Interacting with task leaders, multi-discipline team members, clients, and other consultants. Provide structural support for other LJA sectors such as Land Development, Rail, H&H, and Energy. Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering Licensed as a Professional Engineer REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners Experience with structural governing codes and specifications such as AASHTO LRFD, ACI, AISC, or IBC.
