**Roles and Responsibilities:** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assemble and TIG weld aerospace castings and details + Use fixtures, tools, and gauges to produce aerospace parts meetings blueprint drawing tolerances + Follow detailed work instructions + Practice weld procedures per GE and Nadcap/AWS specifications + Work in a team environment, participate in Action Workouts, and contribute to the LEAN Manufacturing workplace + Practice safe work habits and maintain a hazard-free work environment. Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components. Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment. Review any parts received from kitting area and compare the parts to the print. Fabricating and revising fixtures, jigs, and gauges. Operate and/or use forklifts, cranes, hoists, slings, grinders, cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, and instruments of measurements. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience: Associates or Technical School. Minimum of one-year of related experience and/or training.
