Performs any combination of the following tasks to assist in machine shop activities. Reports to: Production Control Supervisor Personnel: Not applicable. Duties: Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transport load to designated area. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device. Deliver metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining, using electric pallet mover, hoist, or overhead crane. Lift metal part or stock onto machine, manually or using hoist, and secure it on machine table, in chuck, or fixture, using wrenches, to assist in setting up machine. May inventory materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed. May weigh materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Job responsibilities include: Unload glass truck deliveries using overhead crane Reconcile product counts with paperwork.   Process paperwork and enter on computer items received.   Clean, prepare, package sample glass.   Route sample glass to truck.   SDS match and label on all chemicals.   Complete HAZMAT labels, as needed.   Pull orders and cut material for shower door hardware.   Print tags and package shower door hardware for delivery.   Assist will call customers, as needed.      Set-up UPS/FED-EX outgoing deliveries.  Deliver paperwork to proper departments.   Prepare intercompany deliveries between glass and metal facilities.   Deliver and put away supplies by cart.    What We Are Looking For 3 years of overhead crane experience Perform work as assigned by supervisor Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels. Attach appropriate labels and tags to product and packages. Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure. Notify lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Maintain a safe and clean work area, Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight or more hours. Must be able to wear company issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision, Must be able to read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels. Position Brand Description: Receiving, storage, and shipping of raw materials and packaging components in support of Lilly manufacturing sites (Both US and OUS customers). Ensure materials are available and on hand for weekly production operations and ensure inventory quantities are accurate. The minimum length of time in this position is 3 years per current guidelines. Key Objectives / Deliverables: • Accurate receiving and storage of manufacturing components from outside vendors. Shipping of orders to internal and external Lilly customers. • Unloading / loading of materials at docks, receiving of materials, storage of material in appropriate storage zones, preparation and shipping of customer orders, order processing in warehouse inventory system, cycle counting. • Follow all safety requirements and procedures. Routinely inspect area for health and safety issues. Assist with implementation of countermeasures from safety incident investigations. Work with Leader and safety representatives to implement safety projects. • Follow all GMP, and other regulatory requirements. Participate in quality initiatives and audits. Compliance to FDA, EMEA, DEA, OSHA, IDEM, and EPA regulations. • Meet appropriate goals for performance improvement as defined by area Leadership. • Execute inventory transactions in a timely fashion. • Ensure inventory levels for local warehouse are set and maintained appropriately. • Provide key customers raw materials and components on-time and in full. • Maintain learning plan at 100% current. • Follow and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities. Minimum Requirements: • Certified to operate all types of powered industrial trucks. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies. • Solid understanding of the importance of and basic requirements of regulatory agencies such as the FDA, EMEA, OSHA and EPA. • Demonstrated solid judgment and initiative. • Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexible and willing to work overtime. • Proactive and self-motivated to support team initiatives and in solving business problems. • Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time and make decisions regarding prioritization. • Ability to pick-up / move 40-pound containers. • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE corporate and site goals. • May require criminal background check. • May require Controlled Substance Authorization.
