The purpose of this position is to perform all day-to-day activities, with focus on raw materials and finished goods handling, to achieve the department and business objectives. Day-to-day general direction is provided by the Distribution Lead.

**In this role, you will:**

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Material Handler Qualifications

Reach Truck, Standup, Sit-down forklift experience
Familiar with the following equipment: Crown, Raymond, PaPe, etc.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, and follow procedures
Ability to lift or push/pull objects up to 75 pounds
Capability to stand/walk for a minimum of eight hours per day
Ability to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk

Purpose of Position
Our package handlers are our front-line employees and a very important part of GLS. They work diligently to sort and make sure packages are in the correct route, to ensure proper delivery timelines. They work closely as a team to make sure all the behind the scenes work is done safely and successfully, no day is the same. Essential Job Functions
