Captures and uploads pictures of loaded freight, heat treated pallets and dangerous goods labels when needed, pictures of trailers with seal applied when dispatcher is unavailable
Collaborates with the customer and CS team regarding outbound shipments and provides carrier updates
Locks and Chocks trailers before loading and removes locks and chocks upon completion; perform dock audits for each truck loaded
Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area. Prepare and assemble orders, move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other areas.
Manage sorting and placement of materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, product code and related characteristics; tend to be more more complex or in multiple cells or operations and fully trained.
Potential opportunity to serve as a lead operator in less complex, smaller teams or standard operations. Assist with training and providing basic work instructions to new hires or transfers.
Operate a forklift when required and is fully trained and operational; may not perform the most complex, heavy or oversized transports.
Complete or verify appropriate forms, documents, labels and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory, monitor and track material and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods; involves knowledge of several operations or varied goods and services.
Identify potential operational or service concerns, notify appropriate co-workers and assist with resolving. Monitor various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, cleaning docks, proper storage of equipment, basic preventative maintenance and related tasks.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Typically at least two years of warehousing or related logistics experience, or successful completion of a rotation program.

The 2nd Shift Part Time Forklift Operator I is responsible for various assignments, duties, and tasks within the Warehouse that may or may not require the use of a PIT Forklift, such as building pallets, inbound unloading, outbound loading, replenishment of the pick floor, or Vertique mezzanine areas, and, or the fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Shifts:
1st: 7 am - 5:30 pm + mandatory overtime, Monday - Thursday (Fridays/Weekends may be required at times)
3rd: 7 pm - 5:30 am + mandatory overtime, Monday - Thursday (Fridays/Weekends may be required at times)
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling:
Operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to designated locations within the plant.
Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas with precision and care.
Ensure materials are stacked and stored properly to prevent damage or hazards.
Inventory Management:
Track and record material movements using inventory management systems or manual documentation.
Conduct routine inventory checks and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and organization in the warehouse.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions.
Follow proper operating procedures to extend equipment lifespan and minimize wear.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely and efficient material movement.
Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve any logistical challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety and material handling best practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
Overtime, when needed, is mandatory and required.
