This is a senior clerical position within the mortgage division. This position is responsible for preparing and sending mortgage closing documents to attorney. This position also reviews and approves HUD-1 settlement statements and/or closing disclosures and funds loans.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate mortgage loan closings with closing agents, loan originators and loan processors for correspondent/wholesale lenders and retail lenders.
* Prepare mortgage closing packages, per closing instructions, and send to closing attorney with funds (if applicable) prior to closing.
* Review and approve HUD-1 and HUD-1A's for closing and/or closing disclosures for closing.
* Calculate APR and issue final TIL when applicable.
* Prepare funding worksheet to calculate net funded wire.
* Wire funds to closing agent or correspondent bank as needed to fund or purchase a loan.
* Run tickets to clear funding (if applicable).
* After loan closing, finalize loan in a timely manner in preparation for the post closing department.
* Work with loan underwriters, processors and post closing on any outstanding conditions to be cleared.
* Promote and maintains good public relations with customers, realtors and attorneys.
* Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* High School Graduate or equivalent;
* Minimum of two (2) years job related experience;
* Ability to operate a personal computer using Microsoft Word and Excel;
* Working knowledge of loan documentation and bank terminology;
* Must have working knowledge of RESPA and TILA regulations;
* Basic knowledge of Accounting;
* Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers as well as fellow employees;
* Good organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently within deadlines;
* Ability to read, understand and adhere to internal and governmental policies and procedures; and
* Ability to learn and utilize all necessary computer applications.

CLO Associate/Loan Closer Description(1-4 years):

Manage day to day activity of CLO warehouses. Communicate trade flow between fund managers and TRS provider. Communicate/fix discrepancies.

The Commercial Loan Closer is directly responsible for the integrity of the loan closing, due diligence, and documentation for assigned loans within the Commercial Real Estate portfolio. This includes ensuring that the loan structure and terms conform to the credit approval and bank policies, the requirements to close are in place and identify and appropriately mitigate exceptions. This position requires an understanding of policies and procedures as they relate to the commercial lending function.

Responsible for initiating and driving the overall loan closing process, developing, and maintaining internal and external relationships, coordinating the activities, decisions, and communications amongst the deal team along with outside counsel and third parties such as brokers, title companies, insurance agents, etc.

Responsible for the integrity of loan closings, due diligence, documentation, and compliance. Including but not limited to: drafting commitment letters, review closing documents, completion of closing checklist, ensure loan structure and terms conform to credit approval and bank policies, special conditions have been satisfied, and identify and appropriately mitigate exceptions. Frequently uses judgement to make decisions that are in alignment with bank policies and risk tolerance guidelines.

Responsible for proactive identification of potential risks and adverse situations that may impact the bank's interest. Communicates and/or escalates risks, pursues corrective action, and drives solutions.

Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers, that may involve customer-facing activities such as conference calls, correspondence, pre- and post-closing meetings, notarizing signatures, and possibly attending loan closings.

Generates reports as needed to monitor loan closing pipeline, loan closing target dates and deadlines. Ensures loan originations system is updated and correct at all times.
