Provide disclosures to the borrower, including truth in lending, good faith estimate, and others.
Counsel and advise the borrower in understanding and clearing credit problems.
Maintain regular contact with the borrower, realtors, and the lender, between application and closing to apprise them of the status of the application and to gather any additional information as needed.
Order legal documents.
Review HUDS prior to closing.
Qualifications
Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).
Must have a thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies.
Must have a working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs and private investors.
Must be familiar with local, state and national laws (e.g. zoning ordinances, Truth-in Lending, RESPA, energy audit requirements, etc.)
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze financial information.
Must be a sales-oriented self-starter.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Builds rapport and leverages customer relationships with existing and potential borrowers with the goal of meeting customer needs and exceeding their expectations.
Analyze customers' financial situations and provide the appropriate solution by advising customers as to the appropriate loan product for them.
Perform lock extensions, pipeline management, appraisal orders among other daily duties
Excel in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and follow up with multiple customer and work on multiple files each and every day.
Accept multiple live, qualified inbound leads daily.
Lock loans at point of sale, request initial documents from the customer, and submit an initial, paperless loan package to production staff.
Collect and analyze customers documentation for submission to underwriters for pre-qualification of purchase clients
Structure and price loans accurately.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Desired Competencies:
Some experience and current product knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional and other loan programs.
Demonstrate working knowledge and skills to learn federal and state guidelines, rules and regulations such as TRID.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Education/Experience:
Current working knowledge of mortgage loan process.
0-2 years' experience as a Loan Processor, Jr. Processor, Loan Setup Clerk, Loan Officer Assistant, Sales, or equivalent. Proficient with Encompass, or other paperless mortgage loan origination systems.
NMLS licensing preferred, but not required in some branches.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Activities Required :
Act as liaison between Branch personnel and Underwriting Department.
Manage pipeline of conventional, government and/or portfolio loans.
Maintain knowledge of UTB and Investor product guidelines.
Ensure all loan submissions are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Report any non-compliant loan submissions to the Director of Operations.
Handles escalated problems and issues requiring a senior level knowledge of residential mortgage loan processing.
Takes on a senior role for the Branch processing team and assists in training for new hires.
Actively participate in ongoing efforts to continually improve customer service for internal and external customers.
Maintain knowledge of UTB's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist Branch personnel with questions concerning the processing and submission of loan files.
Ensure all loans submitted to Underwriting are complete and documentation in file is consistent.
Validate automated underwriting decision.
Serve as an intermediary for loan issues with Loan Originators, Processors and Underwriting.
Evaluate loan documentation and clear conditions as per delegated authority
Immediately forward all Critical conditions to Underwriter upon receipt (i.e. Appraisal, Title, Income Docs, etc.).
Maintain high level of customer service by being proactive in communicating with the processors and loan originators.
Other duties as requested by Director of Operations.
Employee is responsible for complying with the Bank's BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance and Consumer Compliance policies and procedures relevant to their responsibilities. If the employee is not certain of what the specific instance calls for, the employee will consult the respective policy and will contact their manager, BSA Officer and/or the Corporate Compliance Officer with additional questions.

Close a minimum of 50 loans per month.
