Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer's income, assets, investments or debts. Advises the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different loan products. Services existing customers and obtains all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fees and lock in information. Oversees the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensures conformity with terms. Communicates loan status to all interested parties, and obtains loan documentation after closing. Presents terms and conditions of loans with customers. Stays abreast of trends and developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment, as well as, changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages. Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures. May supervise and direct the activities of other loan officer(s), loan officer assistant(s), or loan processor(s). Other duties as assigned.

    General The Mortgage Loan Processor (MLP) is responsible for processing all real estate applications originated by the Mortgage Loan Officers in accordance with internal credit union policies, procedures, and guidelines. Coordinates with realtors and borrowers by providing answers to any questions on loan status updates and provides any significant changes to loan terms or closing dates. Coordinates the loan processing efforts by communicating loan status between borrowers and processors. Encourages inter-departmental referrals by providing training (when appropriate) and product support for front-line personnel. Monitors the Loan process to ensure Loans close and fund on the date specified by the borrower. Manages relationships within loan portfolio to include handling follow-ups, collections or delinquent and problem loans as requested. May assist with other duties as assigned. Must maintain regular attendance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or equivalent work experience. Must be a fluent in Spanish. At least 3 years' experience as a mortgage loan officer or comparable experience originating loans. Must be eligible for NMLS registration and licensing. Must have analytical ability to evaluate credit applications and to make fair and impartial decisions. Must have working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending. Must have experience and strong, proficient computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and data processing software. Must have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to perform in a high-volume environment. Must have a positive attitude. The Construction Disbursement Administration (CDA) group is responsible for managing roughly 200 commercial construction projects simultaneously. We work with multiple departments around the Bancorp to ensure that construction is progressing properly and all agreements within the loan documentation are being followed by all parties. The Disbursement Specialist will: * Review, analyze and process customer loan draws for commercial and residential construction projects, loan fund disbursements, equity draws, etc., including review of invoices, lien waivers, and budget. * Prepare payoff quotes, credit bids, default letters and loan modifications. * Schedule and direct pre-construction discussion with Borrower, Builder, and RM when requested. * Administer participation loans, coordinate with participating/lead bank(s). * Order, input, and review inspection reports. * Updates and maintains various reports and ticklers for loan maintenance. * Assists with and may serve as liaison with lenders, loan administration, and outside vendors. * Monitor and may process interest rate changes. * Review loans for past due status, insurance coverage, tickler exceptions, etc. * Ensure loan administration is consistent with loan documents, bank and department policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned. Maintain quality within the department by following operational policies and procedures, reporting needed changes, and compliance with Federal regulations. Manage relationships with vendors including title companies, mortgage insurance companies, document attorney, and appraisal management companies. The MLP is expected to be flexible with respect to duties, scheduling, and periodically completing duties that may be outside their normal job description.
