As a Loan Originator/Loan Officer, you'll operate with ownership, managing a pipeline that connects borrowers with funding that works. This is a prospecting-heavy role. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Prospect and cold-call investors to generate new business opportunities
Consistently meet outbound activity goals (calls, emails, follow-ups)
Pre-qualify borrowers for existing mortgage loan programs
Assess risks including deal worthiness, potential fraud, default, and early payoff
Review documents and loan packages for accuracy and completeness
Ensure proper fees are collected and charged prior to funding
Coordinate activities between processing staff and borrowers
Maintain borrower communication to gather documentation and manage pipeline quality
Negotiate loan rates and terms effectively with borrowers
Attend required meetings and complete training
Build and maintain relationships with referral partners
Develop business through company events and direct-to-consumer activities
Expand knowledge of products, policies, and underwriting requirements

The Associate Loan Officer will shadow and assist an experienced Loan Officer to learn how to prospect and market to clients and partners, meet new clients, complete applications and facilitate loan closings from application to closing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Loan Officer in meeting with borrowers, taking applications, providing disclosures and following-up through closing.
Input Team files into LOS with accuracy to make sure the correct information is in the file.
Assist Loan Officer in marketing efforts to current and new clients.

Be available to clients and coworkers during work hours and on weekends if needed.
Take loan applications and pre-qualify borrowers over the phone or in person.

Exceptions, problems, changes and questions are reported immediately. Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
Must have current Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through the NMLS required per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.

Minimum of one year of mortgage experience.

Physical Requirements:

Compensation:

The Loan Officer plays an important role in the organization by performing a variety of activities directly related to the company's Production functions. The role is primarily responsible, under moderate supervision, for providing quality relations with borrowers through completing the origination processing of application, loan disclosure, review files for adherence to underwriting standards, ensuring completeness of submission to processing. 2 years tax returns
Last 2 years W2's
Award letters, disability, trust income, etc.
LOE for Gaps in jobs
At initial contact with borrower provide needs list and complete application
2 months bank statements
Obtain executed disclosures within regulations time frame.
Obtain accurate AUS findings.
Analyze credit report and financial scenario, determining appropriate loan product(s).
Determine (price) a profitable loan and communicate fees to ops team.
Submit a complete loan package to processing.
Note: Processing will not proceed without a complete loan file: Complete application, signed disclosures, at least 80% of what is required to obtain an UW approval.
Lock in rate.
Review CD to ensure fees and cash at closing are consistent with commitment to Customer:
Issue Lender Credit if needed
If loan out of balance, work with processor & branch manager to request subsidy
Resolve file problems, bottlenecks and qualifying issues throughout production and underwriting process.

Beehive Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time Real Estate Loan Officer at our Administration Building in Rexburg, Idaho. This position will work 40 hours, Monday-Friday. The expected pay is $24.88 per hour, DOE, plus opportunities for incentive earning.
Job Description
Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs, and recommends loan options. Prepares and submits loan applications.
Reviews and evaluates financial information to determine if member, property, and loan conditions meet credit union standards.
Makes decisions to approve, disapprove, or recommend the loan request to higher levels of authority.
Maintains consistent communication with members, realtors, builders and other pertinent partners though the loan process
Will actively engage in needs-based selling.
Qualifications
Two year college degree and two to five years of similar experience required. Must be able to maintain a significant level of trust and diplomacy when working with members. Must be able to understand lending policy and then make decisions accordingly. Must have above average communication skills using normal courtesy and tact.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including CRTs, typewriters, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
