Essential Responsibilities: Open and distribute incoming mail appropriately Post payments to loan accounts accurately and timely Manage most loan payment transactions within the department Research members' accounts for processing payments accurately Assist and educate members via incoming/outgoing phone calls Utilize strong member service skills by assisting and educating members via incoming/outgoing phone calls, email and instant message Take payment and provide detail on payment solutions Focus on building an understanding all loan type functions to assist members successfully and service the loans accurately and timely, including understanding CPI and the CPI process Maintain a basic understanding of Paid Loans and Collateral Protection Insurance and be able to navigate the systems to effectively research member concerns Understand payment methods (Online Banking, Mobile Deposit, ACH, etc.) along with principal and interest to post payments to loan accounts, requiring reading and understanding the transaction history; and answering member questions accurately; may require research and problem solving Consistently meets posting and accuracy goals; Must meet member service standard requirements according to metrics and goals established Ensure understanding of all legalities associated with the department processes and remain compliant in following all required procedures Understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with the credit union and maintain confidentiality Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required One year of experience in lending, account manager, billing or for a Financial Institution required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work in a professional office environment Ability to work 1-2 Saturdays a month as scheduled Maintains a positive demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands Natural problem solver, with excellent organizational and analytical skills At GECU, we want to support your wellbeing by offering a wide range of benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance Life and Disability insurance options Paid Time Off starts accruing once hired and take your birthday off - paid 401k Retirement plan with up to a 10% match of your base gross compensation Tuition reimbursement opportunities & professional development Volunteer opportunities -and earn additional PTO hours!
