The contributions you will make: This position is responsible for the origination of home, recreational land/bare land and home site loans in rural areas and communities. A typical day: Sales and Marketing Proactively markets and sells credit and related services, establishing new market relationships which contribute toward attainment of Compeer goals and business objectives. Creates networking and prospecting strategy that is suitable to servicing each territory and ensure alignment with Compeer's branding and marketing protocol. Maintains positive accomplishments with client relations, community recognition, and contributions to the Compeer Financial image as the leading financial institution committed to clients in rural areas. Monitors and appropriately uses discretionary marketing budget throughout the year. Loan Origination Originates loans by proactively seeking applications. Gathers income and verifies financials. Determines the appropriate loan program and terms to meet the client's needs. Works with the credit and processing teams to secure a credit decision and ultimately a timely closing. Acts as a liaison between client(s) and all Compeer Financial operations members as well as certain third parties. Client Relationships Maintains client relationships through frequent interactions and periodic sales calls. Delivers value added informational services to the client. In this role, you will: * Manage and Service Commercial Construction Loans including reviewing related documentation, maintaining budgets, communicating with parties on identified issues, approving transactions and disbursing * Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements for timely processing of all incoming business lending within Transaction and Processing * Review and analyze basic business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables * Review site inspections for loans within their portfolio * Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements for loan approval documents * Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal and external customers if applicable * Work with both origination and central analysts in the preparation of loan approval documents Required Qualifications: * 2+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: * AFS Experience * Commercial Real Estate experience * Residential and commercial appraisal experience * Ability to interpret and research loan origination, legal, or real estate documents * Exposure to Wells Fargo banking systems such as LIQ, LAM, CCM and C360 * Knowledge and understanding of builder, construction, or renovations lending * Knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate operations * Knowledge and understanding of the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) * Commercial loan documentation, preparation, or review experience * Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important * Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment * Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
