The SBA Loan Specialist will facilitate SBA transactions in support of Relationship Managers and provide education on the benefits of SBA lending. Responsibilities for this position include deploying SBA programs as well as creating strategies to originate SBA loans in the marketplace in concert with Relationship Managers and Small Business Department managers. Activities include presenting the company's loan capabilities and structuring SBA loan proposals.
Essential Functions
Provides SBA education and resources to Relationship Managers on an ongoing basis to ensure widespread knowledge of the SBA programs and attributes available by providing periodic group presentations, one-on-one consultations, reference and marketing materials and an intranet site.
Implements client specific SBA communication plans to establish and maintain excellent client relationships and identify client needs.
Responsible for marketing SBA products/services to identified clients/referrals at the direction of department managers including preparing for joint client meetings and follow-up as necessary.
Generates eligibility determinations, structures transactions and solicits requisite application documents for SBA loans.
Assists Relationship Managers by selecting and helping implement SBA lending programs as appropriate based on the needs of the client.
Works with relationship managers to help ensure an integrated and seamless approach to servicing the client.
Participates in client relationship planning as it relates to SBA lending.
Manages and assists with the management of SBA loan projects as needed by Relationship Managers.
Keeps abreast of new products, methods/techniques, key industry trends, conditions and changes in laws and regulatory policies.
Ensures an effective working relationship with other Bank personnel as required to perform client support and sales functions.
Takes a leadership role in community affairs and activities where warranted for effective business development and community exposure.
Maintains proficiency regarding current Bank and Divisional policies and procedures.

Qualifications
5 + years of dedicated SBA experience, including proven competence with large, complex SBA loan projects.
Knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures.
Must have a thorough understanding of SBA policies and structure, product knowledge, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of government regulations surrounding SBA lending.
Complete working knowledge of government, conventional, custom, and self-employed borrower loans. Preferred experience with SBA loan programs; however, SBA experience can be supplemented with experience in a closely related field.
Proven analytical skills; ability to review and interpret complex data (determining risk, assessing complexity of accounts, etc).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas and communicate such to colleagues, team members, and clients

Compensation: $64,279 - $96,419
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position in Eastern, Washington and Idaho. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable incentive plan.

Position Summary: Under limited supervision, drives strategic marketing initiatives to strengthen and expand relationships with dealership partners. Essential Functions:
Orders and reviews supporting loan documentation such as title reports, appraisals, environmental reports and flood insurance verifications. Ensures compliance with pre- and post-closing requirements pursuant to the credit authorization.
Prepare requests for loan documentation packages for new and renewed loans and ensures applicable loan documents have been accurately prepared.
Closes commercial/residential construction loans. Prepares and records applicable closing documents. Coordinates closing and funding with borrowers, title companies and closing attorneys as required.
Sets up and maintains thorough and accurate credit and draw files for residential and commercial construction loans.
Administers the construction draw process, which includes reviewing draws, updating budgets, ensuring loans are balanced, reviewing inspection reports and identifying potential construction and title issues.
Responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of draw packages and obtaining appropriate approval prior to funding.
Tracks delinquent interest payments on all commercial real estate loans.
Oversees the lot releases on development loans and release of collateral for all commercial real estate loans.
Obtains set-aside letters and Letters of Credit for commercial real estate loans according to terms provided by City and County agencies, keeping consistent with WTB policies and procedures.
Works closely with relationship managers, borrowers and all other authorized parties affiliated with each loan transaction to ensure deadlines are met.
Provides timely and excellent customer service.
Performs compliance and risk management duties as assigned.
Responsible for entering correct data into the core system for commercial real estate management reports.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of construction loan due diligence and procedures; ability to review LaserPro loan documentation and/or attorney-prepared loan documentation to ensure alignment with credit approval.
Experience coordinating documentation, closing, funding, and monitoring of commercial and residential loans.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Self-directed with a strong sense of urgency, focus, and discipline-even in environments with frequent interruptions.
High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of loan processing and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel functions and formula-driven spreadsheets; familiarity with bank core processing systems.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Demonstrated flexibility and capacity to learn quickly, with success in both independent and team-based assignments.

Pay Range:
Construction Loan Coordinator I: $23.51 - $35.30
Construction Loan Coordinator II: $25.60 - $38.40
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.

Job Description
Assists mortgage loan officers by preparing and processing their loan files.
Counsels the mortgage loan officer on redisclosing the Loan Estimate; draws Closing Disclosure; and facilitates its delivery to the member while meeting time commitments.
Reviews residential loan applications to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union and/or secondary market standards.
Obtains verifications of employment, rent, payoffs, SSN, 4506T, tax transcripts, flood certifications, homeowner's insurance, LDP, SAM, etc.
Orders the title commitment from specified companies and directs the ordering of the appraisal through appropriate sources.
Helps facilitate and connect communication throughout the department.
Will actively engage in needs-based selling.
Qualifications
Six months to two years experience required.
Must be able to keep strict confidentiality.
Must be able to offer prompt, clear, and accurate communications with members and coworkers.
Must be able to complete all documentation with promptness and accuracy.
High school or equivalent education.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, computer terminal and keyboard, facsimile, calculator, and understands computer basics. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
