Prepare loan documents for all consumer and commercial loans using the loan document platform. Keep track of closed loans and forward them to the Post-Closing team in a timely manner. Maintain an understanding of the process for ordering services such as title opinions, title insurance, termite inspections, appraisals, insurance, payoff requests, etc. Maintain communication with loan officers through Task System and provide frequent updates of loan documentation status Increase knowledge of current regulations in lending on a continuously changing basis thru seminars, in house training, e-learnings and webinars, etc. Comply with and assist others in complying with all relevant laws, regulations and policies. Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations as it pertains to the functions of this position ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as backup for bank receptionist as needed Responsible for maintaining individual P.E.P. monthly. As Residential Construction Loan Specialist at Abound Credit Union, you will be engaged in a rewarding and challenging environment to manage multiple aspects of the credit union's construction lending program. What You'll Do: Loan Pipeline Maintenance - Maintain an updated pipeline report of Construction loans, review daily to ensure loans are moving forward in a timely manner and provide updates to loan officers and escalates to management as needed. Reporting - Provide monthly reporting to management on in progress construction loans, total outstanding balances and undisbursed loan commitments to ensure complete visibility around projects staying on track and on budget. Builder Management - Coordinate the initial builder approval, if needed, and submit approval requests to the Manager - Mortgage Processing and Closing. This includes working with Abound loan officers, managers and builders to collect all required due diligence information, managing builder communications prior to and during the loan closing and construction phase. Draw Request and Maintenance - Provide administrative support for members and their builders during the construction phase of the loan. This includes handling draw requests, coordinating inspections and title updates as needed, disbursing and distributing funds as outlined in the builder contract and monitoring project progress to ensure completion of the build and the project is on budget. Conversion to Permanent Financing - As homes are completed, the Construction Specialist will be responsible for ensuring members have a certificate of occupancy and collecting final builder affidavits ensuring clear title. As homes are completed, coordinate with members to execute final documentation, collect any funds due, ensure notary as needed to convert loan to permanent financing. Update FICS Mortgage Servicing system to ensure the permanent loan documentation and servicing system parameters are in sync. Transition loan to Mortgage Post Closing for final review. Compliance Support - Performs manual HMDA review daily for denied, withdrawn and incomplete mortgage applications, to ensure accurate reporting and works directly with compliance area (weekly reports) to address LAR gaps. Clerical Support - Mail Adverse Action notices to members for mortgage applications each day. Order supplies and process incoming mail for mortgage department and other back-office lending areas. **Full job description will be provided if you are selected for an interview. What We Need: High School diploma or GED - minimum 2+ years financial industry experience. Ability to analyze member account information and identify Credit Union products and services of potential benefit to the member. Knowledge of loan procedures and products. Familiarity with Mortgage Loan Origination and ability to learn systems, platforms, and processes used in mortgage origination and processing. Ability to deal with members with tact and courtesy and maintain professional demeanor in all situations. Ability to operate a personal computer with a high level of proficiency in such software applications as word processing, spreadsheets, internet and email.
