ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Identify customer needs, explore all options, and suggest different types of loans. Review files for completeness and accuracy. Verify accuracy of system input. Analyze file for program applicability. Review necessary documentation, such as income and asset documentation, credit report, verifications, appraisal report, preliminary title report, etc. Follow up with clients to request additional documents as needed or to clarify important points. Provide status updates to loan officers, borrowers, and agents. Remain up to speed regarding lending and other financial services. Coordinate all aspects of submission to underwriting, documentation requests and satisfaction of closing/funding conditions. Coordinate closings as needed. Submit files in a timely manner in accordance with company standards. Review pre-audit HUD-1 to ensure accuracy. Work with loan officer and title companies to resolve any discrepancies prior to closing. Prioritize workflow to ensure time sensitive files are handled in proper order. Assure compliance with all regulatory and governmental standards, guidelines, rules and regulations with all regulatory authorities, federal or state ordinances and administrative regulations and statues. Forge trust relationship and enhance customer dedication. Ensures confidentiality of bank and customer information. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Preferred Skills: Preferably 5 years or more processing conventional, VA and FHA loans. Encompass experience preferred. Requirements: Post TRID knowledge required. Responsible for meeting service level guarantees for provision of loan documents based on scheduled loan closings. Communicates and coordinates with bank colleagues to collect additional information needed to prepare loan documents. Responsible for timely and accurate booking and funding of loans. Performs a pre- and post-documentation review of loan documentation. Responsible for requesting title work, appraisals, and flood determinations for real estate secured loans Responsible for requesting new credit card requests as well as increases to credit cards for consumer and commercial clients. Prepares general correspondence and all types of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan documents Responsible for payment of loan related invoices. Completes special projects as assigned by Loan Operations Management. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One year of loan documentation and/or three years of loan operations experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the stated qualifications. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS): A positive attitude and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient typing and computer skills including Word and Excel. Proficient in use of the bank's Loan Documentation system preferred. Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate detailed and complex loan documents. Ability to quickly learn new skills and apply to role. Thorough understanding and familiarity of the bank's loan policies and procedures. Ability to work independently to resolve problems and complete complex loan transactions. Thorough knowledge of regulatory and legal issues encountered in the completion and closing of complex commercial, real estate, and consumer loans. Exceptional understanding of needs to provide client focused service. Thorough knowledge of title policies, UCC guidelines, lien filing and mortgage/deed of trust filing. Thorough knowledge of loan regulations, including but not limited to, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Reg B), Fair Credit Reporting Act (Reg V), and Real Estate Settlement Protection Act (Reg X)., Truth in Lending Act (Reg Z). Working knowledge of credit agreement covenants, loan documentation in multiple states preferred. Detail oriented, high level of flexibility and adaptability, enabling individual to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be well-organized and display excellent time-management skills. Ability to multi-task and work multiple loan files at one time while maintaining reference for each file. Strong team focus with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
