Duties & Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for the administrative duties of existing loans, including processing payments, generating, and posting payoffs
Monitoring loan maturity dates and reaching out to customers as necessary
A loan servicing specialist may also be responsible for initiating any necessary procedures for delinquent accounts. setting up or maintaining databases with loan records
Perform a variety of clerical tasks (including data entry and updating loan files
Prepare payoff statements and send to the customer
Ensure all applicable loan documentation is uploaded to image repository system
Handle loans that are complex in nature ensuring all documentation is complied with
Answer questions pertaining to all areas of loan servicing including payment research, loan maturity, payoff amounts, cross collateralization agreements, etc.

Qualifications:

Under the direction of the Director of Economic Development and/or manager, the Business Loan Specialist provides business loan packaging and business consulting and training in business finance to micro enterprises and small business owners leading to job creation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide business consulting to business owners, on a one-on-one or in small groups, in the areas of business and financial planning and general business practices that will result in economic impact within realistic timeframes and resources.
Assist businesses by preparing loan packages for various financing sources including bank and credit union loans, SBA's, 7a and microloan programs.
To direct businesses to appropriate business resources and refer to alternative financing programs such as CDFI Export, Community Advantage and state loan guarantee programs.
Assist client in gathering documentation application requirements, and preparing financial projections, as needed.
Analyze credit reports, business plans and tax returns to assess loan feasibility.
Develop and conduct training programs in the area of financing for small businesses.
Prepare and submit report, as required.
Coordinate and build relationships with the SBA, State and Banks to ensure successful facilitation of the loan funding process, which includes tracking and on-going client support.
Assist in the development of partnerships with other service providers to increase services to small business clients.
Development and presentation of business finance workshops
Represent the SELA BSC within the community to public and private entities.
Engage in marketing and community and outreach activities.
Assist the Director/Manager in other areas as needed.
Support strategic priorities and goals established in CRCD's 5-year strategic plan.

Requirements
Five (5) years of professional experience in loan packaging, preferably alternative capital loans
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Experience in working with small businesses from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of business planning, general business practices and business financing a must
Ability to Develop pro forma statements, cash flows and credit analysis.
Reliable, flexible team player who works well with minimal supervision, who has a good work ethic, and an ability to set and maintain personal boundaries.
Ability to strategically utilize time and resources to manage priorities, timelines, deadlines, and details under pressure, with accuracy, and to a high level of proficiency.
Must display professional and appropriate email etiquette

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Department Supervisor or Manager, and following established policies and procedures, perform duties related to servicing the Bank's consumer loan portfolio according to separation of duties established by the Department Manager including but not limited to the essential functions described below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Complete necessary functions pertaining to servicing loans sold to Freddie Mac, including but not limited to, daily and monthly remittance of payments, status update in Freddie system, and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Board new loans to the Core System.
Review error and system maintenance reports and correct errors.
Respond to general inquiries from both internal and external clients via mail or through call center.
Review and clear non-posted Lockbox payments.
Review and clear system posting rejects and unapplied funds.
Provide research and correction to accounts.
Process payoff funds and return items (such as return check, return mail, etc.)
Post monthly loan payments.
Clear loan WIP account of loan payments.
Process requests for auto debit and ACH.
Update collateral information in the Core System.
Respond to demand request for payoff quote.
Respond to verification of loan requests.
Prepare mortgage release documents on paid-in-full loans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent with some college business classes preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in loan servicing and thorough understanding of consumer loan servicing products; knowledge of state and federal banking regulations and procedures with regulatory requirements including but not limited to CFPB, FCRA, HMDA, RESPA, Reg Z, SCRA, TILA, and UDAAP.
Skills/Ability: PC literate, proficiency with MS Office; use of IBS loan system a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Self-motivated. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; Bilingual (English, Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.

We are currently seeking a Loan Disbursement Specialist to join our Construction Disbursements Team located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Construction Disbursement Administration (CDA) group is responsible for managing roughly 200 commercial construction projects simultaneously. We work with multiple departments around the Bancorp to ensure that construction is progressing properly and all agreements within the loan documentation are being followed by all parties. We have currently switched to a new construction monitoring system and are working to streamline and improve our processes in all aspects of construction monitoring. The Salt Lake City group works closely with one another and we maintain a collaborative mentality when monitoring the construction loans assigned to us. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and jump in with both feet into our team and help us maintain our high standards of service within the department.
The Disbursement Specialist will:
* Review, analyze and process customer loan draws for commercial and residential construction projects, loan fund disbursements, equity draws, etc., including review of invoices, lien waivers, and budget.
* Prepare payoff quotes, credit bids, default letters and loan modifications.
* Schedule and direct pre-construction discussion with Borrower, Builder, and RM when requested.
* Administer participation loans, coordinate with participating/lead bank(s).
* Order, input, and review inspection reports.
* Updates and maintains various reports and ticklers for loan maintenance.
* Assists with and may serve as liaison with lenders, loan administration, and outside vendors.
* Monitor and may process interest rate changes.
* Review loans for past due status, insurance coverage, tickler exceptions, etc.
* Ensure loan administration is consistent with loan documents, bank and department policies and procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Some experience with commercial, construction or loan servicing process and procedures, loan documentation or processing or other directly related experience.
* Basic knowledge of lending disbursement processes, procedures and loan documentation.
* Basic knowledge of standard construction budget and loan servicing practices and techniques.
* Must have good audit, problem solving, data entry and customer service skills.
* Ability to review and process data per loan documentation.
* Good time management and organizational skills.
* Must be accurate, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
