    Responsible for executing all functions related to loan servicing, including onboarding, payoffs, disbursements, and ongoing loan maintenance. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of investor reporting, participation accounting, and Fannie Mae processing to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is responsible to review and interpret escrow analyses to identify discrepancies and errors, ensuring accuracy in escrow account management. In addition to managing all aspects of loan servicing, the role includes cross-training in title operations to develop proficiency across related functional areas. This ensures a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle and supports operational flexibility. Essential Functions The essential functions of this position ensure a wide range of support to the Loan Operations department as its primary focus while title administration duties are performed as a secondary responsibility. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: Loan Operations Support (Primary Focus): Perform loan onboarding and process payments and payoffs, disbursements, payment corrections, due date changes, and other maintenance tasks within the Credit Union's core system. Support escrow administration, including tracking, maintaining, and ensuring timely payment of homeowner's flood, and private mortgage insurance, as well as real estate taxes for all escrowed and non-escrowed residential mortgage and home equity loans, while also completing, interpreting, and effectively communicating periodic escrow analyses to members with questions or concerns Manage the servicing of loan and investor participation accounts, including processing transactions, performing daily remittance, and completing monthly investor reporting for the Fannie Mae mortgage investor program and other portfolios, ensuring accurate tracking, and remittance to participants and investors. Prepare and process applicable lien releases for consumer and mortgage loans upon satisfaction of debt, ensuring accuracy, timely execution and compliance with regulatory agencies. Effectively research and resolve routine and complex member inquiries primarily on loan accounts as well as other general account information by using all methods of correspondence. Responsible for the recording and tracking of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings related to non-titled collateral such as vehicles and manufactured homes as well as real estate fixture filings when applicable. Prepare and distribute periodic reports by gathering, categorizing and summarizing data related to loan and title servicing. Process daily loan payment reversals as needed for payments made via ACH and third party payment systems, ensuring proper corrections and maintaining accurate loan records. Work in conjunction with the AVP of Loan Operations to compile and report the quarterly Call Report loan data, maintaining a complex Member Business Loan (MBL) spreadsheet to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Perform loan audit review on newly on-boarded loans as well as gather applicable loan files routinely requested by internal and external auditors. Title Administration (Secondary Focus): Provide support in all title administration responsibilities by monitoring the receipt, recording, and release of vehicle and mobile home titles and other lien filings, which will include daily interaction with members, dealers and insurance companies as applicable. Share responsibility for handling title-related inquiries from members, dealers, and insurance companies, working closely with other team members to ensure consistent and compliant service. Research and assist in resolving processing errors on uncollected titles through all forms of communication with dealers, motor vehicle agencies, and others as needed. Additional Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of departmental procedures. Assist in the training of new hires as needed as well as cross-train in other areas to provide backup support during high-volume periods or absences. Responsible for complying with the Credit Union's information security policies, procedures and standards. This includes safeguarding member information, participating in required security awareness training, and reporting any suspected security incidents or vulnerabilities.     Location: East Greenwich, RI Office Location *Hybrid eligible (Hybrid = at least 3 days in office) Department: Retail - East Greenwich, RI General Business Hours: M-F: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Shift: 40 hours per week. Managed by (Title): Branch Manager and/or Loan Officer Supporting Compensation: $16.00 -$23.00 per hour with commissions/overrides based on performance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Last Updated: 3.14.2025 SUMMARY The Junior Loan Officer is responsible for playing a key role in supporting Loan Officer activities, including building client relationships with realtors, builders, home buyers, financial planners and others. While supporting Loan Officers, the Junior Loan Officer will receive exposure, mentorship and ability to create their own client base. The Junior Loan Officer has the opportunity to produce and originate loans (with an active license), which will set them on a career path to become a Loan Officer or Senior Loan Officer. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Technical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems Experience Education: Minimum of a high school diploma required. Experience : Minimum 1+ years' of loan origination experience, loan officer assistant experience, strong sales experience or experience working in the mortgage industry required. Minimum 1+ years' of marketing experience in sales environment is a plus Skills: Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills. Interpersonal skills that forge professional relationships and support, strong oral, verbal and written communication. Ability to speak and understand Spanish a requirement. To be knowledgeable and able to articulate all aspects of loan products offered, such as: FHA/VA, FHLMC, FNMA, JUMBO and all other loan programs that Embrace offers. Strong skillset in social media marketing and ability to gain customer interaction with such marketing techniques. License: Must currently have an active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license through NMLS prior to receiving a job offer. Systems: Experience using Empower Loan Management Software preferred and training is provided. Other systems/platforms are used daily such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, DocuSign, Total Expert, etc. TRAINING REQUIRED Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner. Follow through on all professional conditions and continued education requirements for NMLS licensure. RESPONSIBILITIES Establish, develop and maintain client referral relationships with Realtors, builders, Developers, CPA's, financial planners and make sales calls on potential or existing customers in order to develop new business and/or retain existing business. Duties would include: Counseling and pre-qualifying potential homebuyers. Taking a complete and accurate loan application. Obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fees and lock-in information. Overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with term. Assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communication loan status to all interested parties. Obtaining loan documentation after closing as directed by corporate or senior management. Actively manage marketing on social media for your own personal production and for assigned Loan Officer or Branch Manager Keep informed of trends, changes, regulations and developments in the local real estate market and competitor activity. Understand all origination, processing, appraisal, underwriting and closing requirements for Embrace and investor guidelines pertaining to both governments insured and privately insured mortgages. Ability to accurately negotiate price, terms and conditions with mortgages. Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager or assigned Retail Loan Officer. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings (including travelling to headquarters quarterly), attend Sales Calls & Training Events. Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, and developments. Occasionally participate in branch/headquarter meetings that require attendance.
