Duties & Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for the administrative duties of existing loans, including processing payments, generating, and posting payoffs
Monitoring loan maturity dates and reaching out to customers as necessary
A loan servicing specialist may also be responsible for initiating any necessary procedures for delinquent accounts. setting up or maintaining databases with loan records
Perform a variety of clerical tasks (including data entry and updating loan files
Prepare payoff statements and send to the customer
Ensure all applicable loan documentation is uploaded to image repository system
Handle loans that are complex in nature ensuring all documentation is complied with
Answer questions pertaining to all areas of loan servicing including payment research, loan maturity, payoff amounts, cross collateralization agreements, etc.
This position is responsible for maintaining and updating critical loan data within the servicing system
Respond to phone calls/emails regarding questions on loan payment/transfer letters
Maintain high levels of customer service at all times
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable in Mortgage Terms- Promissory note, Deed Of trust, Appraisal - Preferred
Proficient in Word, Excel, and all Microsoft products
Customer oriented, able to contact customers and provide excellent follow-up and excellent customer service
Background in banking, mortgage, financial services & customer services - Required
Highly organized, and comfortable using database systems and common office software programs

GENERAL SUMMARY
This position will act as a resource for syndicated loans and review of new loan products. Will also be responsible for research, performing callback, reviewing, and approving daily transactional entries, problem solving, participating in special projects, and responding to escalated and more complex requests within Commercial Loan Servicing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Researches and resolves most complex internal/external customer questions/discrepancies in loan accounting.

Books new loans, modifications, renewals, and extensions.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You'll Be Doing

* Reviews all incoming mail within 24-48 hours of receipt; including but not limited to Member documentation and stipulations, Appraisal, Preliminary Title Report, Homeowner Association documentation, Mortgage Insurance, if applicable and insurance certificates (hazard and flood).
* Responsible for following up on third party services, within two business days of receipt of a completed loan application, including but not limited to Appraisal, Escrow, Title and mortgage insurance.
* Responsible for ensuring that updated loan disclosures are sent when re-disclosing is necessary; Ensure that new disclosures are sent within the required timeframe and in accordance with CFPB, TILA-RESPA integrated rule and MDIA.

The Real Estate LoanProcessor is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and packaging documents for real estate mortgage loans that conform to secondary market guidelines. Performs credit qualifications by utilizing secondary market standards and credit union policies and procedures.

Originators are expected to meet the Company's minimum production standards in funded units/volume on an ongoing basis each month, by taking complete and accurate loan applications, using PrimeLending's product set.
Monitors overall customer interaction and interfaces with all parties involved on each individual loan from application to closing, including but not limited to counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers.
Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer's income, assets, investments or debts.
Advises the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different loan products.
Services existing customers and obtains all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fees and lock in information.
Oversees the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensures conformity with terms.
Communicates loan status to all interested parties, and obtains loan documentation after closing.
Presents terms and conditions of loans with customers.
Stays abreast of trends and developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment, as well as, changes in rules and regulations pertaining to private and government insured mortgages.
Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
May supervise and direct the activities of other loan officer(s), loan officer assistant(s), or loanprocessor(s).

The Work
Ensure timely and accurate processing of loan payments and payoff statements, escrow disbursements, and account reconciliations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Ensure compliance with loan agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Prepare and maintain accurate loan documentation and servicing records.

Your Skills and Experience
Associate degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience in financial services.
5+ years of experience in loan servicing, with a focus on commercial real estate lending.
Strong understanding of operational risk, loan processing workflows, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

The Pay
The hourly rate will be $31.00 - $36.00 per hour plus overtime with a discretionary bonus of 15% per year.
The Work Environment
This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino or Irvine office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home).
Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime.
