Loan Servicing and Collateral Specialist
This position reports to the Loan Administration Manager and is responsible for performing duties too varied and diverse to be classified in any specific office clerical occupation. Position may require learning new systems as entry level support, answering phones, filing and copying, and various loan maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
Create and/or modify memos, spreadsheets, policy or procedure documentation, or similar.
Scans all Loan Documentation within the electronic imaging system.
Assist with workflow of department.
Review various daily reports.
Coordinate the receipt and approval of departmental bills and submit to Accounting Department in timely manner.
Handles all of the Paid files.
Research and prepare collateral release such as Mortgage Cancellations, UCC Terminations, Auto Titles, Life Insurance Policies.
Prepare and track all Mortgage Re-Inscriptions.
Prepare and balance the Letters of Credits.
Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.
Manage departmental files.
Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
Uses independent judgment and decision making in carrying out the essential functions of the position.
Conduct UCC Continuations.
All other duties as assigned.

The Transaction Specialist will assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. The Transaction Specialist will work as part of a team under the direction of the Lead Transaction Specialist and Regional Operations Manager.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders to members; transfer amounts from member accounts as directed. Cross-sell or refer Xplore's products and services to members.
Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services and refer and direct members to the appropriate department for specific information and services.
Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks, including filing, computer input, and answering the telephone.
Adheres to all credit union policies and procedures.
Maintain member confidentiality of information.
Vault and ATM responsibilities as assigned.
Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT ACT, including accurate completion of CTR, Monetary Instrument log, and reposting of suspicious activities to the compliance department.
Greet members, ascertain their reason for visiting the branch, and direct/assist them in the Xplore Away office.

Role:
Effectively carry out the essential duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates Heart of Louisiana's mission and core in a positive manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Process and prepare loan applications for Underwriting by reviewing and verifying all required loan documents are complete and compliant.
Collect required documentation from members and other third-party vendors.
Order title reports, flood certificates, appraisals, and other documentation as requested with appropriate third-party vendors.
Review all documentation received for accuracy and determine if additional research or documentation is needed.
Proactively identifies, communicates, and resolve loan issues early in the process to prevent delays, while effectively managing pipeline volume to meet turn time expectations.
Communicate regularly with Mortgage Loan Originators, members, title companies, realtors, builders, and all other internal/external partners during the loan process.
Track loan statuses from application to closing to meet closing deadlines.
Consistently reviews pipeline to ensure loan notes, statuses and dates are accurate.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and investor guidelines (ex: TRID, RESPA, HMDA).
Complete final verifications, clear closing conditions, and coordinate closings with title agencies and members to ensure the closing process runs smoothly.
Maintain current knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations.
Perform other related job duties.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Three or more years of Mortgage Lending experience. Processing and servicing experience preferred. Member services, loan processing and originating preferred.
Education
A high school diploma required. Associate or bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution and building relationships. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Financial Aid Office is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Aid Loan/FWS Specialist to provide comprehensive financial aid support and guidance to new and continuing students. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships, this position serves as the primary coordinator and point of contact for the Federal Work-Study and Federal Direct Loan programs, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Key responsibilities include awarding and administering work-study and loan funds, delivering financial aid counseling to students and families, managing communications with students and parents, and supporting Banner system processes to ensure accurate and timely aid delivery.
Specific Duties are:
* Serve as the primary federal work study and federal direct loan point of contact for current and prospective students, determining eligibility for work-study, awarding work-study, and monitoring earnings for all student work-study employees on campus.
* Administer assigned programs in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures
* Knowledge of Federal Title IV, state program awards and regulations, and FERPA
* Counsel and advise students about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, program costs, and indebtedness
* Complete error reports to ensure that federal work study and federal direct loans are issued in a timely manner and in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations
* Notify students of changes in the eligibility of aid offers and alternatives to amend the situation, if any
* Use enhanced internal and external communication systems to inform students and parents about aid offers and departmental, institutional, and system-wide policies and procedures
* Provide financial literacy presentations and informational sessions on campus and within the community
* Conduct audit file reviews each semester
* Monitor Common Origination Disbursement for incoming Direct Parent PLUS loan requests and award applicable loans as needed, following up with parents if credit decisions are approved
* Provide ongoing training, guidance, and supervision to financial aid student employees for accurate dissemination of financial aid information to other students and parents.
* Collaborate with other departments for campus outreach and registration events to ensure that recruitment, enrollment, and retention goals are met
* Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
