About the Position...
The Loan Service Specialist I (LSS I) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.
The Loan Service Specialist (LSS I) builds meaningful, collaborative, and effective relationships that reflect respect, integrity, and excellence with clients, colleagues, and the management team. Under general supervision, the LSS I is responsible for various loan servicing functions that are not limited to processing loan payments, including advances and pay downs, assisting with loan boarding and maintenance activities, and posting loans transactions timely and in accordance to Bank policies and procedures. While providing efficient and professional services to all clients, the LSS I monitors incoming mail and the Loan Servicing email inbox to resolve and process general requests and forwards payoff demand requests to the Loan Service Specialist II for processing. The LSS I will perform tasks to resolve discrepancies associated with payments and General Ledger clearing and will upload appropriate documents to the imaging system as assigned. The LSS I demonstrates strong teamwork, accountability, and adaptability to support their function and to assist the Loan Service Manager and department with other duties as assigned. All duties are to be performed accurately, timely, and efficiently and in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Specific responsibilities include:
Participating in all aspects of loan origination

Modeling asset level cash flows using ARGUS Enterprise and Excel

The annual full time base salary range for this role is
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00
Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Position Overview:
The Loan Processor is responsible for providing quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation to underwrite the loan and orders third party documentation by communicating directly with the customer and/or Loan Officer. The Loan Processor provides proper disclosures when required by applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower's credit, employment, income, and assets as required by the loan program before submitting to underwriting.
Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
Complete the required loan checklist.
Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify any potential issues that may arise in underwriting.
Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure the accuracy of all the information printed on the documents; communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter to obtain initial and any missing documentation required to qualify for the loan.
Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare required disclosures.
Communicate with various companies to obtain Property Survey, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information.
Verify that vendor orders are complete, invoices are received and in the applicant's E-file.
Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times.
Assist set-up of loans.
Document all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log.
Train and assist supervision of new Loan Processors and other processing personnel.
Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to obtain and clear outstanding suspense items from CrossCountry Mortgage investors.
Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Bilingual preferred.
Minimum of 3 years' residential mortgage processing experience.
Experience with Encompass.
Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, and loan documents, preferred.
Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
Excellent math and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills.

Seek guidance for complex lending situations and approval authority from an MLS or above.

Follow up with prequalified applicants and on other leads in a timely and effective manner.
Price and disclose loan applications by determining the interest rates and fees associated with a loan, based on factors such as borrower's creditworthiness, loan amount, term and market conditions.
Successful completion of Consumer Lending Program courses and subsequent exam is required. After completion and proficiency shown, granted initial lending limits (Tier 1) with SVP recommendation.
Coordinate member engagement with the Real Estate Lending Processing Center within Loan Administration.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all real estate lending products, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
