Key Responsibilities

Day in the life of a Loan Processor
From collecting, coordinating, and uploading documentation to facilitating loan closings, your role will touch every aspect of the loan process to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for clearing any approval conditions as outlined by legal or credit.

Prepare general closing instructions, Closing Disclosure (CD), loan payment form, funding wire breakdown, review CD for accuracy and completeness, and notify appropriate staff of any errors;
Review and update itemizations in Encompass;
Send initial CD to the title company and borrower in a timely manner;
Accurately notate at-closing all underwriting conditions;
Generate closing doc package and review for accuracy, to include reviewing all documents that require execution for discrepancies in address, name, interest rate, APR, costs, and fees;
Run high cost tests for compliance, while working with the originating LO or Processor to make adjustments as necessary;
Address any calls or questions related to the closing/closing package as applicable;
Coordinate and balance loan closing with title/escrow company in a time manner;
Verify borrower's required funds for closing are within approved tolerance and meet investor guidelines, along with all other closing requirements;
Stay abreast of changing company policy, mortgage regulations, laws, and generally accepted industry best practices, and be willing to take initiative to train and stay informed without prompting;
Address any calls or questions related to the closing/closing package;

Overview of Responsibilities: Ensures timely and accurate funding of dealer contract packages. Reviews all documents required to fund indirect consumer loans for accuracy, authenticity, completion, and compliance. § Onboarding Indirect Loans: Accurately transfers new indirect loan and all required data into the core processing system and ensures all documentation is complete and validated prior to funding. Verifies signed insurance forms, purchase orders, collateral and title information, disclosures, applications, joint ownership details, and the accuracy of member and loan data. Ensures all trailing documents are matched to held contracts and confirms loans meet authorization and compliance requirements before core processing system release. Prepares payoff quotes, processes payoff letters and checks, and completes any necessary rate-modification agreements via DocuSign. Maintains daily pipeline updates and collaborates with Underwriters and Dealer Relationship Managers to support timely funding and monthly loan volume goals.

The Front-End Loss Mitigation Specialist plays a key role in the initial review of a loss mitigation application. This position is responsible for preparing loan for underwriting evaluation of temporary loss mitigation solutions, providing notification to the borrower of evaluation results, and documenting system of record. The specialist ensures compliance with investor, regulatory, and company guidelines while providing high-quality customer service.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Gather and review borrower financials to determine eligibility for various loss mitigation solutions such as forbearance, repayment plans, trial payment plan, and hardship assistance programs.
* Ensure critical steps in preparing the loan file are completed including title, escrow review, and investor related documentation is received.
* Ensure all interactions and actions are documented in the servicing system according to CFPB, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other investor requirements.
* Collaborate with underwriting, collections, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of loss mitigation requests.
* Educate borrowers on the consequences of non-payment and promote early intervention strategies to prevent foreclosure.
* Track application status, deadlines, and escalate accounts at risk of timeline violations or regulatory breaches.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must-Have Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.• 2+ years in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, collections, or related financial services.• Experience with investor guidelines (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) strongly preferred.• Strong understanding of mortgage delinquency, loss mitigation, and foreclosure prevention practices.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.• Proficient in mortgage servicing software (e.g., MSP, Black Knight) and Microsoft Office Suite.• Ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
