Loan Documentation and Processing
Create loan documents for mortgage, consumer, or commercial requests
Prepare denial documents for commercial loan applications
Produce supporting documents such as modification agreements, change in terms agreements, and checks
Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding loan documentation.
Prepare accurate disclosures as required.
File Review and Quality Control
Read, interpret, and apply information from loan applications and documents
Verify loan files and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
Review of loan documents for quality and regulatory compliance
Establish or assist in maintaining accurate loan files
Administrative and Technical Support
Disburse construction loan lien waivers, checks, or line of credit advances
Handle confidential departmental records
Serve as administrator or backup for loan-related software or third-party programs as assigned
Assist with departmental projects and initiatives
Contribute to creating and updating written policies and procedures
Communication and Organizational Alignment
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

Education: A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. A minimum of one year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely and accurate closing of residential mortgage loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth transition from underwriting to funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review closing documents in accordance with loan approval terms, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate loan closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal departments.
Verify loan data, including loan amount, interest rate, and fees, to ensure accuracy.
Ensure all closing conditions are met prior to disbursement.
Issue and manage Closing Disclosures (CDs) and final settlement statements.
Perform funding authorization and coordinate disbursement of funds.
Communicate regularly with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely closings.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of mortgage closing experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of residential loan closing documents and procedures (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA).
Familiarity with TRID and other applicable compliance regulations.
Experience with mortgage loan origination systems
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
