This role is primarily responsible for the servicing of Commercial loans including but not limited to preparing commercial loan documentation, loan boarding, collateral perfection - including but not limited to; real estate, UCC and titled vehicle secured, processing of related financial transactions, and loan reconciliation functions.
Location: Tower East - 5th Fl, 601 W 1st Ave, Spokane, WA, 99201.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm. This role is open to a hybrid work schedule that includes both remote and onsite work upon completion of training.
Essential Functions:
Handle loan boarding and collateral perfection.
Audits and reviews loan documents for a variety of commercial loan products to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy issues.
Responsible for handling loan package requests from bank lenders and determining required documentation for specific loan type and conditions.
Orders and verifies supporting documentation. Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness. Manipulates systems and uses knowledge to create effective loan packages.
Prepares appropriate documentation for collateral to be pledged. Ensures accuracy and completeness for perfection and government regulations.
Effectively communicate with other departments in the Bank, collaborating with internal and external customers to ensure a successful customer experience.
Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of loan documentation, collateral perfection, and general loan servicing, as well as bank, federal, and state policies and requirements.
Experience with LaserPro, BakerHill NextGen, Jack Henry Silverlake or similar loan servicing, boarding and collateral perfection platforms preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a loan servicing or administrative environment is required.
Strong knowledge of lending laws, regulations and business loan documentation. Knowledge of flood regulation is a plus.
Demonstrated accuracy in working with detailed data in a deadline-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and utilize systems and applications.
Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize work projects to meet deadlines.
Pay Range:
Loan Servicing Specialist II- $18.26 - $27.42
Loan Servicing Specialist III- $21.64 - $32.46
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.

SUMMARY
The Loan Boarding Specialist II is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring that the required closed loan documents have been received, and for booking of loans to the Loan Accounting System following First Interstate Bank's procedure and policy. Assigned loan products include Consumer, Commercial, and Specialty loan products that encompassing simple to complex transactions in accordance with loan closing documents. This position will meet completeness, turn time, and accuracy requirements per established service level agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Boards and books closed loans to the Loan Accounting System, including compliance and collateral information.
* Reviews the batch-scanned documents to verify receipt, accuracy, and proper execution of loan documents and that there are no alterations in the documents.
* Coordinates efforts with appropriate parties to obtain missing information needed to meet boarding requirements.
* Determines funding requirements and forwards to Loan Funding queue.
* Performs loan activating TMS entries in a timely and accurate manner.
* Monitors queue volumes and adjusts workload as necessary.
* Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the completeness, accuracy, and turn time standards per established service level agreements.

Ensure originated loans are set up in the Bank's computer system and processed through for submission to underwriting.
Identify opportunities and provide financing sheets for listings and Realtor/builder open houses. Attend weekend open houses and/or subdivisions for loan solicitation purposes.
Attend regular Realtor Association and Builder Association meetings.
Attend internal training sessions, internal sales meetings, and external training opportunities as assigned.
Take applications or meet with clients at Bank branch locations. Attend closing signing appointments as needed.
Promote home ownership through community outreach efforts, specifically in the communities around designated branch location demonstrating inclusive marketing efforts to develop new leads, loans and bank relationships. Conduct first time home buyer classes at or in close proximity to branch, host booths at non-profit community events, etc.
