The Home Loan Specialist plays a key role in helping our valued clients get where they want to be. The Home Loan Specialist will consult with each client, and using Fidelity Bank's C.A.R.E. Process, the Home Loan Specialist will design lending solutions that meet each client's home financing needs.
The Home Loan Specialist will originate first and second mortgage loans and secure mortgage and home equity lines/loan applications for the Bank, using the LifeDesign Banking approach to provide Clarity so each client can move forward with Confidence. We are currently seeking Home Loan Specialist candidates with proven capabilities connecting with, and supporting, the diverse array of clients in our local communities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides the highest level of client service in a positive, courteous and enthusiastic manner to colleagues, clients and the community.
Develops and implements a broad-based business development program including realtors, CPAs, attorneys, brokers, personal referrals, etc. Visits realtors regularly and acts as liaison between vendors and the Bank.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Bank loan products, services, policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending, Real Estate Settlement Procedures act, Massachusetts Adjustable-Rate Mortgage regulations and The Home Value Code of Conduct.
Interviews applicants and takes mortgage applications. Maintains availability for meetings at assigned Banking Centers. Obtains all documentation and fees necessary for efficient processing including utilization of all systems needed for processing the applicant information.
Communicates with vendors and applicants regarding the status of applications in process.
Maintains and submits weekly log of activities, including real estate offices visited, broker meetings, applications taken and other relevant information.
Represents the Bank at Board of Realtor meetings. Participates in mortgage programs and seminars and performs other functions designed to enhance the Bank's visibility and image in the real estate community.
Collaboratively serves as a backup contact for other Home Loan Specialists when they are unavailable or on vacation.
Other duties as may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years related mortgage lending or origination experience preferred.
Excellent sales, business development, organizational and communication skills.
Able to learn and effectively use required technology and applications.
Able to work outside of typical business hours and travel extensively within the Bank's business (lending) community.
Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers

Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for selling and originating high quality mortgage loans to meet established production goals. Develops relationships with attorneys, local housing agencies, developers and real estate brokers to generate new mortgage business.

Keeps abreast of residential and consumer loan products and the applicable State and Federal regulations and compliance issues. Throughout the process, keeps borrowers informed regarding the status of the loan, both by phone and email.
Responds in a timely manner to borrowers' and third-party agents' (i.e. closing agents, appraisers, realtors etc.) inquiries during the mortgage process.
Utilizes MortgageBot reports to manage their pipeline, track the timely return of all required documentation (appraisals, titles, verifications, approval conditions, etc.). Keeps up to date on financing date and closing date on purchases.
Analyzes all documents to ensure loan packages are complete and accurate. Reviews documents for possible identity fraud, etc. Forwards the file to underwriting for approval.
Once approval is issued, responsible for tracking and collection of documentation to ensure conditions are satisfied. Once complete, generate Clear to Close form, update fees and submit to underwriting for final approval.
Represent the credit union in a professional manner; provide quality service to members and internal customers. Cross-sell CU products and services where applicable.
Perform other related duties as required.

Contract Duration: 5 months
Pay rate: $23/hr
Primary responsibility is to prepare accurate legal documentation in accordance with Bank policies/procedures and to facilitate loan closings directly with the client and/or vendors, which includes routine to complex transactions. The role requires the individual to work with various vendors to perform due diligence (property appraisal, flood and hazard insurance, title, etc) to perfect the security interest in the various types of collateral pledged to the Bank by the borrower as security for a loan or line of credit.

About the role:
Responsibilities include:
Input new loans from Encompass into loan service systems, establishes complete digital and physical files and accurate records.
Maintains current and accurate daily loan reports (loan maintenance and payoff reports) from COCC Synergy.
Responds to member inquiries, resolves problems, and escalates any problem or concerns to management.
Handles Automated Credit Dispute Verifications (ACDV) in compliance with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) responses through E-Oscar system.
Acts as liaison between Collateral Protection Provider and CU to ensure proper insurance coverage as required.
Ensure timely follow-up of lien perfection at Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) or Registry of Deeds using Vintek.
Processes Consumer, Mortgage and Commercial paid loans and the release of all documents.
Maintain vendor relationships and reporting for State National vendor.
Processes escrow disbursements (Real Estate Taxes, Insurance, PMI, etc.)
Reviews real estate delinquency reports and resolves delinquencies.
Prepares all investor loan and sold participation loan reports monthly.
Prepares necessary discharge documents in a timely fashion for paid-in-full loans.
Prepares monthly credit committee reports package such as monthly list of new loans, credit quality, portfolio breakdown, etc.
Reviews daily reports and daily general ledgers for any discrepancies in loan reporting or loan booking transactions.
Reviews loan denials and withdrawals for completeness and accuracy to report in the monthly credit committee package.
Retains a working knowledge of all credit union services and support tools relative to the lending area.

Education/Experience:
· Associates degree preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training.

Function :
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President - Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Officer, performs a variety of administrative tasks in connection with processing commercial loans.
We are looking for candidates with:
2-3 years' working in a financial institution with lending experience or a bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 1 year banking experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Essential Job Functions:
Receives and tracks applications. Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation and check documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.

Assists Assistant Vice President - Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Officer by responding to inquiries from customers, attorneys and other Bank personnel as needed to resolve problems. Acts as liaison with attorneys, appraisers, insurance companies and other applicable parties prior to and during closings to ensure accurate and consistent documentation.
Documents loan underwriting and processing activities related to Commercial loans on a daily basis.
Ensures proper due diligence and CIP/ CDD Beneficial Ownership requirements are met prior to closing the loan, working with the Commercial Lending Officers as needed.
Prepares and follows construction advances and closed loans. Coordinates a draw request for Construction Loans between customers and outside construction consultants and payouts.
Responsible for maintaining all documentation for Participation Loans serviced by ECSB or others.
