What you can expect to do as a Loan Officer:
Interview existing and potential members in person and by phone and explains specific services, products, and policies. Identify members' needs and cross-sell Credit Union services and products actively in an appropriate, professional manner, meeting Credit Union standards. This includes outbound call expectations pertaining to CRM and other call list leads.
Counsel members regarding money management and financial matters. Including communicating loan denials, explaining decisions, and providing direction for future consideration.
Perform timely and accurate lending functions and offer lending solutions of all varieties including HELOC and Business Lending.
Build and maintain a book of business to help improve present, past, and future member relationships. Proactively build and manage a pipeline that drives progress for the benefit of the members financial well-being.
Perform new account functions, explain various account and ownership options, and obtain the required information and documentation.
Cross-sell electronic services and assist members in setting up electronic services enrollment and understanding the e-statement process.

Process paid loan files.
Respond to inquiries and resolve documentation issues in a timely and professional manner.
Scan and index loan documents using digital imaging software.
Advise and support loan officers to ensure that loans are documented per the terms of the Credit Presentation.
Communicate with participant banks in the processing of loan booking, loan advances and payments.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial loan processing role required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Familiarity with document management systems and banking software.

Responsible for real estate tax administration, including annual disbursements, annual escrow analysis, delinquent tax searches and maintenance of EDO data.
Responsible for Hazard and flood insurance monitoring, including payment of premiums and management of force-placed insurance coverage.
Responsible for PMI administration including certificate maintenance, payment of premiums and management of borrower requested cancellations and automatic terminations per the Home-Owner's Protection Act.
Responsible for FIS system maintenance of loan payments made via ACH.
Performs daily review and processing of various loan level reports to ensure unapplied funds and non-post items are credited to the loans timely and accurately.
Prepares partial release documentation and analysis for management review and approval.
Research outstanding items on various loan GL's and DDA's and clear within appropriate timeframes.
Assists with administration of new construction loans as needed (i.e., auditing closed loan files, funding/draws, escrow repair accounts, conversions, interest rate modifications, ordering appraisals, preparation of documents, communicating with customers on status of construction process).
Identify potential prospects for customer convenience opportunities (i.e., APO, EDO).
