Seaman Corporation is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our Operations team! This position will report to the Process Engineering Manager.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Controls Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a designated department or project to support business plan and strategic initiatives. The role has primarily responsibility for evaluating equipment and manufacturing processes to determine strategies and modifications which provide improved quality, productivity, and efficiency. This position will support both Tennessee and Ohio operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Equipment Analysis - Analyze equipment and process conditions to ensure optimum utilization of machines and equipment in the production of quality industrial fabrics.
Provide technical leadership and expertise for process and quality teams in troubleshooting process, equipment and/or product quality, to achieve objectives.
Works cross-functionally between production, engineering, and maintenance to reduce defects, improve product flow and quality through both facilities.
Provide support to Quality Control, Product Development, and Customer Service on quality issues, source inspections and NSF audits as needed.
Project Management - Develop and coordinate project plans, review vendor proposals, manage project team activities, communicate changes, provide progress updates, and complete projects on time and within budget. • Actively support Lean Sigma using lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies for the development of new or improved techniques, systems, processes or methodologies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Implement leading manufacturing technologies to improve throughput, troubleshooting and finished product quality.
Monitor assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and standards.
Write specifications and monitor and assist with shop floor drawings and other related technical activities.
Work with Maintenance department on equipment repairs, modifications, installations, and startup.
Expand PLC systems and software to control and monitor production equipment; work with vendor on software setup as needed.
Design and implement alarming and control interlocks to reduce scrap/waste.
Design, program and oversee the startup of upgraded and/or new control systems.
Support safety programs and initiatives to ensure safe work environment and promote safe practices in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 1-5 years related experience with PLCs, VFDs and AutoCAD. Machine upgrades and integration of Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley programming

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create and publish content (written, visual, and multimedia) for internal and external audiences on corporate channels, including articles, social media posts, newsletters, and website updates.
Manage content calendars to ensure timely and consistent delivery of messaging across channels.
Support corporate storytelling initiatives, showcasing company culture, growth, innovation, and community impact.
Oversee company intranet, website, and corporate social media accounts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and brand standards.
Capture and edit photos and videos for communications and social platforms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and translate complex topics into clear, compelling content.
Maintain brand consistency across all communication materials and channels.
Monitor engagement metrics, analyze performance, and provide insights to optimize content effectiveness.
Assist with corporate event and program coverage, including live updates, photography, and post-event summaries.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in content creation, digital communications, or social media management.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
Ability to create and adapt content for multiple platforms (web, social media, intranet, email).
Strong understanding of digital communication best practices and emerging trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
Basic photography and video production/editing skills; knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Ability to analyze engagement metrics and apply insights to improve content performance.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SEO principles and web analytics.
Familiarity with internal communication platforms and employee engagement strategies.
Understanding of brand management and corporate identity standards
Experience with content scheduling tools (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite).
Familiarity with intranet platforms and basic web content management systems.
Knowledge of analytics tools for measuring engagement and performance.
Experience in corporate communications, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
