The Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver position is a full-time position with a guaranteed 45 hours per week (Monday through Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch). Eligible for our monthly incentive program .

What are the Warehouse Associate responsibilities?
It's an important hands-on role where you'll be key to giving Locke Supply's customers an outstanding experience.
You will deliver material, while material delivery is the focus, you will also have several other responsibilities in the day-to-day operations, including pulling orders for customers, unloading stock freight, and handling various warehouse tasks.

What are the requirements for a Warehouse Associate?
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to do basic math (Addition, subtraction, division and multiplication)
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Desire to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Valid driver license with a clean driving record
Must pass a D.O.T Physical and Drug Test
Must be able to pass a post-offer, physical job duty test through WorkSTEPS
Working conditions for an Associate include a combination of retail store, delivery truck (either box or pickup), hands-on training exercises, meetings, workshops, and presentations.

Job Summary

Maintains delivery vehicle in clean, good working condition and monitors maintenance and mileage data if required.
Provides for regular maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, as appropriate.
Schedules DOT/state mandated inspection visits, as required.
Maintains daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets.
Completes truck summary, driver's log and other backup detail daily, pays truck expenses and updates appropriate records, as appropriate.
Must be observant and adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations.
Must have a full understanding of truck routes and may coordinate deliveries with our own trucks, assigned freight companies or other carriers based on special requests or the best way to ship material.
Loads and unloads material at the branch and customer locations.
May perform warehouse functions including, but not limited to, order filling, stocking shelves, processing returns, receiving and shipping, as needed.
Non-essential Functions
Performs/assists with other duties/projects as assigned by supervisor/manager.
May be responsible for conducting Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as part of their daily route.
May check and pack material to be delivered.
May maintain shipping equipment and keep work area clean and safe.
May assist the City Desk and Will Call areas in providing customer service functions including, but not limited to, order entry, filling orders, processing returns, expediting, technical assistance, Will Call, and other functions, as needed.

Qualifications
Two-years of work experience preferred.
Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and good knowledge of electrical products/systems is preferred.
Minimum of 21 years of age is required.
Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles is required.
Current medical certification is required.
Clean driving record is essential.
Working knowledge of PC for Windows and Internet. SAP software is a plus.

3. Load and Deliver
Follow loading and unloading procedures and ensure that the parts are secured properly and will not be damaged during transit.
Use the appropriate parts handling equipment, properly distribute the weight of the parts, and follow safety protocols.
Complete pre- and post-trip inventory or manifest checklists and report any in-transit or delivery damage.
4. Customer Service:
Collect accurate COD payments, including cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers, and record payments electronically and on the manifest.
Communicate professionally and courteously with all customers internally and externally, sales staff, and dispatch.
Make sure that all returns have been picked up from the customer and properly documented, and verify with the shop that they don't have any more returns to return with you.

Position Overview:
This position requires individuals to safely operate a city van to transport materials and merchandise to assigned destinations. Drivers may be required to clean, service and maintain vehicles. Job Summary
