The Aerospace Engineer will work with the Installation Aerodynamics team to perform aerodynamic design and optimization of inlets, nacelles, and exhaust systems, as well as related aerodynamic components. In this role you will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including airframers, global partners, leadership staff, and the broader installation aero team to provide aerodynamic performance assessments of aerodynamic engine components and commercial aviation propulsion systems.
**Essential Responsibilities**
As the Aerospace Engineer, you will:
+ Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, aerodynamic analysis, design, test, and integration functions required to define and support assigned components, assemblies, and systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
+ Prepare and present technical information to internal and external customers
+ Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis including geometry modification & meshing
+ Use, develop, and test in-house engineering tools to perform aerodynamic evaluations
+ Set up and execute test programs achieving test objectives within schedule and budget guidelines
+ Document and communicate aero design, analysis, and test data results
+ Share engineering information, lessons learned, and promote open dialogue
+ Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
**Qualifications/Requirements**
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
+ Master of Science degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
