Lockheed Martin Space Production Operations is seeking an Experimental CNC Machinist to join our team in King of Prussia, PA! In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Follow instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to print and operation sheet specifications using CNC machines • Interpret CAD data, prints and sketches regarding fabrication and follow written instructions • Set up and operation of one or more computer numerical controlled machining centers for both horizontal and vertical machines. Performs such operations as drilling, milling, boring, & tapping, etc. on any/all types of work within the scope of the machine • Verify NC code during execution of setup • Perform secondary operations during machine cycle such as deburring and straightening • Inspect parts prior to submission and as they are produced using standard gages, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gages, and other measuring devices to ensure conformity to specifications • Select and install proper cutting tools, zero in the machine to control and make other necessary setup adjustments • Assist in providing feedback on prescribed processes, fixturing, and tooling to Manufacturing Engineers to ensure that off-line engineering is complete and optimize efficiency before online operations are performed • Analyze machining results and performance targets with budgeted times and communicate shift targets for jobs to be run in production • Maintain coolant levels and perform minor preventive maintenance to equipment • Support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required Basic Qualifications: • Ability to read and interpret blueprints • Understanding of G&M code • Ability to work varying shifts • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Desired Skills: • Siemens 840D Control Systems (Celos) • Mazatrol • Mastercam/NX a plus • Existing Secret clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
