As a logistics technician, this person will be an integral member of the technical interface team, supporting the on-site Customer, resolving issues arising from operations and / or maintenance activities. Coordinate the Life Cycle Sustainment Management by providing logistical support to the program. This includes scheduling shipments or pick-ups with functional departments and completing required documentation for CONUS and OCONUS shipments. Monitor and status material movement to include providing the proper documentation to complete property transfers to various entities. Coordinate and manage incoming material, assist with purchase requests, and address issues when a discrepancy occurs. Work effectively with key stakeholders and internal functional areas in taking direction, answering questions, and handling issues that need resolution. The candidate will ensure the most efficient and effective processes are utilized in handling customer material. Analyze demand history, and inventory related to operational requirements with all functional organizations, performing analyses, preparing reports to validate supply obligations, and monitoring expenditures. Proactive in planning, scheduling, and executing tasks required to support operational activities. Learn more about some of the incredible things we do here: ****************************************************************************************** What You Will Be Doing This position will work in an office located in greater Las Vegas, Nevada. Field Support Engineers provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoots products and modifies them to customer requirements. Provides training to customers. Candidate will be an integral member of a technical team responsible for overseeing a complex mission system during operations and will be able to confer with a broader engineering team regarding anomalies in system operation. The candidate will be responsible for day to day maintenance, trouble shooting, fault isolation, analysis and complete check-out of a set of complex computer and communications equipment. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of network based communications systems, routers, virtual systems, relational databases, Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012, Windows XP, Windows 7, and UNIX operating systems. Will develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Will remove and replace components and assemblies, repair and perform general up-keep of all systems. Will perform periodic inspections, overhaul, modify and update systems as defined by engineering. Will perform periodic software installs and upgrades. Must be familiar with engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, technical guides and manufacturers' manuals. Accomplish fault analysis and resolution of avionic system and subsystem discrepancies experienced in the field. Attend debriefings, as required, to aid in the rapid identification of emergent issues. Document problems, even if resolved on-site, to ensure the company can identify failure trends. Will be required to operate, service and maintain support equipment. Comprehensive system integration expertise is required. Must be innovative, self-motivated, proactive and always utilize sound judgment, be diplomatic and establish and preserve a creditable relationship with all personnel. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as excellent oral and written communications skills are required to support the on-site Customer. Manage and track multiple engineering and logistics support activities, providing periodic status to Customer and Program Management. Candidates must be willing to travel and work periodically at austere remote locations to support Customer requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and applicable vaccinations. Must be willing to work extended shifts including holidays and weekends. The applicant selected will be subjected to Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for program access. Selected applicant must meet minimum medical requirements, which includes a company overseas physical. This position will require an active Top Secret security clearance with current SBI. The candidate must agree to and successfully pass a polygraph examination if requested. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
