**Position Overview**
The Client Manager I is at the forefront of our Lockton Northeast Client Engagement strategy. They are directly responsible for the day-to-day servicing needs of Lockton Northeast Clients under the general guidance of the Unit Manager, Account Executive and/or Senior Client Manager. Overall responsibilities include support of the marketing/placement/servicing of select lines of insurance and execution of day-to-day administrative and service needs. The Associate must be familiar with Lockton Northeast resources, policies & procedures and ensure overall compliance with the aforementioned. The Client Manager I will be a participant in the Lockton Northeast Career Foundations Program or Career Advancement Program which is designed to provide technical and practical training supporting continued career progression. A high performing and successful Client Manager I will support the Unit Manager, Account Executive and/or Senior Client Manager to ensure transactional excellence and provide great customer service.
**Core Responsibilities**
* Supports Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager on Lockton Northeast clients
* Supports the Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager in the service delivery and renewal process on a designated book of business including but not limited to marketing, placement and overall service .
* Responds to Client's inquiries, maintains documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions. Engages senior level resources to support resolution where needed
* Provides Client service aligned with Lockton Northeast processes and protocols and our overall Client Engagement strategy
* Supports implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up account, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing program details with Client and Insurer
* Gathers and compiles exposure information from the Client
* Works with the Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager to request and collect quotes (new and renewal) from carriers
* Audits quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as needed
* Processes audits and creates audit analysis for Client
* Participates in client meetings; takes responsibility for presenting material as directed by Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager
* Receives policy, then updates and completes policy check to ensure completeness and accuracy
* Works with the Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager to update specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the year
* Builds coverage specifications under direction of the Unit Manager, Account Executive or Senior Client Manager
* Supports new business opportunities and generates materials for Client presentations and meetings
* Creates and sends compliance communications as needed
* Supports analytics through the gathering of benchmarking and industry data
* Works with accounting and admin teams to issue and process Invoices, Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards
* Conducts basic contract review
* Resolves accounting issues. Escalates issues when needed.
* Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed

* Bachelor's degree in a business-related program preferred or equivalent education and/or experience required
* A minimum of two years of commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience and/or insurance broking/consulting/agency experience required

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. **What Is the Opportunity?**
This position is responsible for handling and providing expertise in adjusting large, complex Boiler and Machinery first party claims both in the United States and on occasion, internationally. In addition, as well as being a subject matter expert for colleagues and the underwriting business partner on equipment breakdown within various heavy industries, this position also requires marketing and communication activities with a variety of groups including, primary insurance carriers and in some cases, their large customers.
**What Will You Do?**
+ CLAIM HANDLING:
+ Directly handles selected losses which generally are the most complex and involve exposures of over $100k with no upper limits by investigating facts of loss and applying coverage, determining scope of property losses, developing loss estimates, securing agreed prices with contractors for repairs and finally, evaluating and negotiating the final resolution of any claim.
+ Co-adjusts Boiler Machinery losses with junior staff with a focus on those staff's training and development and providing feedback to those staff and their Managers as to opportunities for improvement.
+ Manages losses assigned to independent adjusters, quota share claims, and litigated files.
+ Produces professional, quality Large Loss reports which may or may not result in presenting on said losses to senior management in Claim and Business Insurance Partners.
+ Co-adjusts and directs Independent Adjusters on quota share reinsurance accounts and foreign insureds.
+ Determines whether equipment, property or business impact experts are necessary and if they are, retains and liaises with said experts throughout the life of the claim and the retention of the expert.
+ COMMUNICATIONS/INFLUENCE:
+ Supports business partners as needed.
+ Consults on issues of coverage and damages, with product teams on policy wording improvements, with underwriting on exposure analysis and the impact of coverage positions.

* Various web-based software development projects utilizing Angular Framework, CSS, HTML, Typescript, SQL, and C#
* Web API projects and front end Angular Single Page Applications
* Web application development as assigned working within an Agile software development team
Other development opportunities:
* Learn software development processes
* Gain experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Code
* Gain experience working within automated testing practices
* Engage with various team members to accomplish their work and duties and build an understanding of the team's dynamics in a collaborative team setting
Basic Qualifications:
* Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2025
* Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
* Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
Preferred Qualifications:
* Pursuing a Bachelors degree Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
* Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
* Proficient knowledge in Web Software Development - HTML5, Javascript, Web API, SQL, C#, Angular
* Intermediate Microsoft Office
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
* Quick Learner
* Experience in a leadership role
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Strong interest in the insurance industry
