IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for Quality Assurance Operator 1 at our Billings, MT facility. Position Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Assurance Operator 1 is responsible for testing and certifying the quality of raw materials and finished products through product sampling and batch testing support. Key duties include loading and unloading asphalt trucks and rail cars, calculating load gallons, operating forklifts, and performing basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on loading/unloading equipment. The role also involves learning the plant's color code system, gaining familiarity with the plant layout, and developing a solid understanding of the PMA and emulsion production processes. Position Responsibilities: Test and certify the quality of raw materials and finished products. Product sampling and testing; operation support for product batch testing. Ability to calculate load gallons. Top and bottom load/unload asphalt trucks. Load/unload rail cars. Raw materials and product sampling. Forklift operation.
