Wanna join the adventure? Loft is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) Technician to support the build-up and testing of spacecraft and flight hardware. You'll collaborate with engineers and technicians to bring spacecraft from drawing to orbit - taking pride in both craftsmanship and ownership of our builds.About the Role:
Assemble, integrate, and test satellite systems (mechanical, electrical, thermal)
Follow detailed drawings and schematics to perform precise build-ups
Perform functional and environmental testing on satellite components
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and integration issues
Maintain lab cleanliness and hardware organization
Document test results, build logs, and non-conformances
Use specialized tools (e.g., soldering irons, crimpers, torque wrenches, oscilloscopes)
Must Haves:
3+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, space, or high-tech manufacturing
Strong electrical or mechanical build experience (depending on position)
Electrical:
Harnessing, soldering, board assembly, con testing
Mechanical:
Structural assembly, solar arrays, reaction wheels
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly procedures
Comfortable working with engineers and independently owning work
Experience using basic tools and test equipment (multi-meters, torque tools, etc.)
Nice to Haves:
IPC or J-STD certifications (soldering, harnessing)
Cleanroom or flight hardware experience
ERP (NetSuite/ION) familiarity

Responsibilities:
Perform thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, vibration and shock testing for development, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns.
Support bench top test setups as well as environment specific test support systems.

Proficient in the use of handheld inspection tools such as digital micrometers, caliper, profilometer and bore gage.
Must be able to read, interpret, and understand dimension and tolerances on the part drawing.
Performs and records audits of production processes using established check sheets to assure conformance to customer and industry specifications.
Ensures safety protocols are followed including wearing proper PPE, reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
Accurately logs data into ERP system.
