JOB SUMMARY:
Assists nursing staff in providing care for patients in accordance with identified treatment plans.

Objective
The Front End Specialist in the swine industry is responsible for overseeing and managing the early stages of swine production, primarily focusing on farrowing operations to maximize production. This role ensures proper care for sows and piglets, maintains high reproductive performance, and upholds biosecurity and welfare standards. The Front End Specialist works closely with farm managers and technicians to optimize efficiency in the farrowing processes.
Role and Responsibilities
Assist with farrowing operations, ensuring proper sow and piglet care during labor and delivery per protocols.
Monitor newborn piglets to ensure adequate colostrum intake and early-life health.
Perform piglet processing tasks such as tail docking, iron injections, and castration as per farm protocols.
Monitor sows and piglets for signs of illness, injury, or distress, and report concerns to farm management.
Administer vaccinations and treatments as needed to maintain herd health.
Ensure proper sow nutrition and hydration and lactation.
Maintain a clean and sanitary farrowing and breeding environment.
Enforce biosecurity measures to prevent disease transmission.

Position Summary:
This position provides services in and pertaining to the Career Resource Center located at Norton Correctional Facility, including but not limited to employment needs, employment documents (resumes, cover letters, IDs), community support and resources, educational or grant opportunities. This position also facilitates career readiness programs and services at Norton Correctional Facility.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Provides services within the Career Resource Center located at Norton Correctional Facility, including but not limited to employment needs and documents (resumes, cover letters, IDs, job searches, available training/schooling opportunities), community support and resources for the releasee in their area of release, and any educational or grant opportunities (finding, applying and providing the services necessary to the resident releasing). Delivers career readiness programs and other services to incarcerated citizens at Norton Correctional Facility. This includes assessing for risk/need related to job/career readiness; developing individual employment plans in coordination with all relevant partners and the resident; takes steps to implement the plans; delivers all the services available in the resource room; makes connections to and develops employers; and facilitates/co-facilitates Career Readiness and other CBT groups after proper training.
Works with returning citizens during and after transition to carry forward career readiness plans and support all necessary steps for the returned citizen to achieve sustained livable wage employment. This includes continuing to address barriers; find resources; communicate with employers; address related issues such as housing, identification/DLs, transportation and the like. Communicate closely with parole, risk reduction specialists, workforce center staff, supports, resources, and anyone else as necessary to support the goal of sustained livable wage employment.
Carries out special projects as assigned by supervisor and the Executive Director of Programs and Risk Reduction to address system capacity statewide related to preparing returning citizens to achieve and supporting them in achieving sustained livable wage upon employment. This includes collaborating with adult and higher education partners on projects or pieces of the overall statewide plan; communicating with employers; communicating with returned citizens; tracking/collecting/collating data and information about paths, projects and outcomes; developing and providing information and training supporting the work of the Job Specialists statewide; and otherwise.
Enter Athena (KDOC Resident Management System) and Program Tracking entries as necessary, maintain data and information related to processes and impact, and provide the information to the statewide reentry team, as requested by the Reentry Director or Supervisor.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Agency Approved Substitutions: Completion of 60 semester hours of coursework from an accredited college or university, including 12 hours in corrections, criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences, and three years of experience in the field of adult corrections; or, completion of a four-year degree in corrections, criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences, and one year of experience in the field of corrections.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with major course work in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences or Behavioral Sciences.
Two years experience working with justice involved citizens.
Two years experience working with career readiness or workforce services.
Two years experience developing, accessing and deploying resources.

Position Summary
The Field Engineer is responsible for managing large and complex construction work at the project site to ensure operations run safely, smoothly, and effectively. This position has a wide range of job responsibilities, depending on the area of specialization. These duties might include working on road, bridge, building, steel structures, or other large projects. This position is classified as "safety-sensitive."
Essential Functions
* Designs temporary structures used during construction with emphasis on safety considerations
* Inspects installed equipment and technologies. Solves issues that may arise.
* Directs foremen or workers on-site
* Conducts research and accurately reports on project status
* Performs quality control inspections and checks work for compliance with contract documents
* Verifies proper materials are used, and that the installations meet project timelines and requirements
* Affirms safety compliance and enforces proper protocols and PPE on site
* May oversee project budget and communications
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field
* A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a field engineer or similar role
* Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including machinery, equipment, and construction processes
* Thorough understanding of safety guidelines (OSHA statutes)
* Attention to detail
* Outstanding communication skills
* An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability
* Ability to work in adverse weather and occasional overtime and weekends
