The Gold Bar Mine consists of an open pit mining operation, delivering ore to a crushed heap leach with solution being processed through an ADR Plant and Refinery. Eureka is a small ranching and mining community located 4 hours east of Reno, NV, 120 miles southwest of Elko, NV and 75 east of Ely, NV. The school system is one of the best in NV. Job Description: Job Title: Temporary Core Logger Location: Eureka, Nevada Duration: Temporary (Project-Based) Department: Mine and Technical Services Temporary position with potential for extension based on project needs Position Summary: We are seeking detail-oriented and safety-conscious Temporary Core Loggers to support our geology team. This role involves logging RC Chips and core from current drilling programs and relogging historic core from archived drill holes. The successful candidates will work closely with geologists to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality geological data collection and entry. Key Responsibilities: Log geological RC/core from active drill programs, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, structure, and geotechnical features. Re-log historic RC/core to standardize and update legacy data to current logging protocols. Capture high-resolution core photographs and maintain organized core trays and storage. Enter data accurately into digital logging systems (e.g., Excel, ac Quire, or other geological databases). Assist with core sampling, labeling, and preparation for assay submission. Assist with drill visits when needed. Maintain a clean and safe core logging area, adhering to all site safety protocols. Communicate effectively with geologists and other team members to ensure data quality and consistency. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in historic core or data records. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Geology or similar field preferred. Knowledge and experience in identifying rock types, alterations and minerals in RC chips and core technical. Previous experience in RC/core logging or geological fieldwork preferred. Knowledge of geological terminology and rock identification. Familiarity with RC/core logging software and data entry tools is an asset. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physically able to handle and move core boxes and work in a core facility. Valid drivers license and ability to work in remote field locations if required. Discretionary work (non-core): Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks and raise health and safety awareness. Use skills, knowledge, and experience in the field to contribute towards continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level Carry out other non-core duties as requested by Supervisor, commensurate with skills, knowledge, and appropriate level of work complexity. Working Conditions: Work 10-12-hour shift days/nights/weekends/holidays (may need to fill in for vacations) Climbing ladders/stairs, long periods of standing, walking over uneven ground Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs. Repetitive motion - bending, stooping, kneeling PPE required, respirator must be worn to perform specific tasks Exposure to noise and dust Prolonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dusty) Core logging will be conducted on an active mine site, in a core shack or warehouse environment.     Graf Brothers Flooring, Inc. is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Timber Cutter to join our logging / forestry team. The Timber Cutter is responsible for felling trees using hand tools or mechanical equipment, ensuring proper cutting techniques to maintain safety and timber quality. This role plays a crucial part in timber harvesting operations, supporting the supply chain of the wood products industry. This position is a full-time, hourly position in various forests throughout the Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia areas, and therefore must be willing to travel. The basic operating hours of the position are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM but are subject to change at any time. Key Responsibilities: Operate chainsaws and/or mechanized cutting equipment to safely and efficiently fell trees. Assess tree conditions, surroundings, and potential hazards before cutting. Plan cutting direction to minimize damage to surrounding vegetation and structures. Limb and buck felled trees into logs according to specified lengths. Maintain and perform minor repairs on cutting equipment. Communicate with crew members to coordinate felling operations and maintain safety. Follow environmental and company guidelines for sustainable forestry practices. Mark trees for cutting or removal in selective harvesting operations (as needed). Keep accurate records of harvested timber. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Proven experience as a timber cutter. Master Logger Certification in KY, OH, & WV and willingness to follow states Strong understanding of tree felling techniques and equipment safety. Physical fitness and stamina to work long hours outdoors in varying conditions. Ability to operate chainsaws, wedges, axes, and other cutting tools. Familiarity with forestry safety regulations and PPE requirements. Must be willing to travel to multiple job sites throughout the KY, OH, and WV tri-state area; a valid driver's license is required, and a CDL is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75lbs + frequently and work in rugged terrain. Comfortable working in all weather conditions. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Work Environment: Outdoor fieldwork in forested or rural locations. Exposure to loud noise, falling debris, insects, and potentially hazardous conditions.
