Your tasks
As the Transportation Coordinator for our US organization, you will be responsible for the quality, cost and on time delivery of Capital Equipment and Consumables from the SteelcoBelimed warehouse, 3rd Party Warehouse and vendors to project sites and end customers. You will work in close collaboration with the Purchasing Manager to coordinate pick up, communicate customer expectations with carrier network and track shipments to final delivery. You will work with multiple carriers to determine the best cost with highest quality to meet critical customer delivery time windows and multiple accessorial requirements.
This role requires a daily on-site presence at our Ladson, SC headquarters to support the needs of the business.
Compensation: $26.44-$28.85 / hour
Communicate and bid out shipments to existing carrier network to optimize the quality, cost and on time delivery for Capital and Consumable shipments
Develop and create standard work processes for working with existing or new carriers
Track metrics for on time delivery and quality for each carrier
Coordinate with warehousing staff and 3rd Party Vendors to collect weight and dimensions for shipment to quote transportation
Establish handoff with Purchasing department for tracking of Purchase Orders with domestic 3rd Party Vendors and coordination of collection and shipment of product to end customers
Understand customer requirements, delivery windows, truck size capacity, lift gate, etc, to properly schedule and meet Required Delivery Dates (RDD)
Communicate with Account Support Coordinators (ASC) and Project Managers (PM) on timelines for delivery
Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) for shipments and provide to ASC and PM for invoicing
Collect Packing Slips, Delivery Notes, Pictures as necessary to create Project Folders for tracking and customer communication
Coordinate with warehouse staff to establish best practices for shipping to reduce transportation damage
Collect evidence, submit claims and track outcomes with carriers and insurance provider for damaged shipments
Collaborate with the purchasing department and manager for inbound international shipments and delivery to domestic warehouse(s)
Support Purchasing Manager with customs brokerage and clearance activities
Audit outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department and company
Assist the purchasing team with commodities purchasing
Your Profile
Associates degree and equivalent professional experience
2-4 years experience in a logistics, supply chain, transportation role
Experience working in an MRP/ERP system
Excellent communication skills with internal / external customers and vendors
Excellent organization skills to manage multiple projects and tasks on a daily basis
Proficient in multi-tasking between supporting warehouse team members and administrative requirements
Ability to analyze and organize logistics processes

7. Allocates organs (renal and extra-renal) per OPTN and SHSC policy utilizing the UNET allocation system.
8. Will assist quality department with communication to UNOS regarding policy discrepancies.
9. Monitor organs during mechanical perfusion and document the information in the EMR.
10. Facilitates organ and team transport.
11. Confirms and documents the arrival of organs to the accepting center.
12. Resolves communication issues and/or notifies appropriate staff.
13. Promotes effective communication between shifts.
14. Provides exemplary customer service.

Review the logistics content of programmatic documents to provide recommendations on issues, concerns, and corrections pertaining to content accuracy, program planning, and integrated coordination.
Review product support analyses (artifacts and data) to identify and assess impacts to any or all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements under consideration. Support the development of a narrative summary and prepare a report that outlines the analysis, findings, impacts, and recommendations with supporting rationale.
Participate in program meetings such as integrated product team (IPT) meetings and working groups. Evaluate the information presented. Formulate and prepare narrative observations and recommendations.
Provide meeting support to include coordination, preparation, hosting, minutes, and action item tracking.
Assess program readiness by analyzing supply and maintenance readiness for equipment, evaluating historical data, identifying readiness issues, and recommending possible corrective actions or changes to reduce logistics-related total ownership cost or improve material readiness.
Demonstrate knowledge of the US Marine Corps Provisioning Process in support of provisioning conference support activities including disassembly of production grade equipment necessary to validate and verify all provisioning documentation.
Participate in the preparation of Provisioning Parts Lists (PPL) utilizing existing Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) and computer resources such as the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Federal Logistics Information Services (FLIS).
Participate in technical publication reviews by assisting in coordinating and conducting an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) event.
Support the material control of all equipment, systems, subsystems, components, and spares associated with the programs as required.
Support manpower and training analyses as required.
Prepare responses to program taskers and send draft responses to the Government client for approval.

Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, STEM, Business or a related field
Preferred acquisition life cycle logistics certifications include formal DAWIA credentials and coursework with Defense Acquisition University (DAU).
Experience Requirements
Three (3) years of experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
One (1) year of experience in support of C5ISR systems.
Experience demonstrating the following skills: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures.
