This position assists in the preservation of public safety by monitoring access to El Paso County parking structures while providing excellent customer service to customers, citizens, and employees. Collects and records parking fees for County parking facilities; monitors and patrols parking facilities for traffic flow, space availability, parking violations, and suspicious activity. Provides administrative support for Parking Operations within the Facilities Strategic Infrastructure Management (FSIM) Department. Provides assistance and support to the Security Section of the Sheriff's Office as needed. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
* Greets customers and employees in a friendly and courteous manner while professionally enforcing El Paso County Parking Rules and Regulations.
* Reports security violations to the appropriate County Security personnel; writes accurate, detailed reports.
* Collects parking fees and enters data into a Point of Sale (POS) system.
* Ensures collected revenue and receipts are accurately documented upon completion of each shift; maintains revenue records.
* Provides administrative support, including accurate bookkeeping, management of customer requests and permit databases, as well as inventories for signage and supplies.
* Performs basic upkeep, cleaning, and charging of equipment for Parking Operations, including two-way radios, phones/tablets, ATVs, carts, and other essential tools.
* Conducts regular patrols of parking structures as assigned to ensure public safety, cleanliness, proper maintenance and upkeep, user compliance, and aesthetics; places work orders for repairs as needed.
* Provides assistance and support to the Security Section, monitoring parking facilities, and communicating problems, such as parking violations or other appropriate circumstances via two-way radio to Security personnel as needed. Reports any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
* Monitors traffic at entrances and exits of parking structure. Monitors handicap spaces and parking structure space availability.
* Responds to telephone inquiries, takes messages, and forwards phone calls as appropriate.
* Provides visitor-requested information, such as the location of County departments and facilities, street directions, and other general information.
* Assists in snow removal and other weather-related duties as assigned.
* Performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities
As an ammunition material coordinator lead, you are responsible for operational oversite of the Ammunition. This position will support all ASP Contingency and Training operations. You are also required to teach, mentor, counsel and train all ammunition personnel. You will ensure your team verifies ammunition residue against receiving and turn in documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing ammunition residue to prescribed turn-in locations; stacking, or palletizing ammunition residue in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of any ammunition residue required for turn-in; removing any live ammunition from residue turn-in prior to shipment to various locations via over-the-road shipments to ensure compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Army Regulations. Major Job Activities:
You will oversee the requisitions of material and provide the following in support of the FCCO and surrounding Military agencies IAW ASO Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Supervise personnel handling a wide variety of ammunition and ammunition residue including small arms, artillery projectiles, powder canisters, fuses, rockets, missiles, smoke, illumination and white phosphorous pyrotechnics, mines and other items.
Performs customer support functions; those processes used to support the total requirement of customers to gain logistics support in both combat and peacetime situations.
Conducts training of employees and FCCO ammunition handlers on A/E. Enforces safety and implements organizational changes
Inspects ammunition in storage on random basis ensuring adherence to proper safety and compatibility requirements.
Observes handling and storage operations to ensure adherence to proper safety procedures.
Conducts accountability and serviceability inspections on incoming and outgoing ammunition shipments, field returns and on ammunition in storage.
Performs repackaging and routine reconditioning operations on field returns.
Assists Government QASAS to verify contents of shipments against shipping documents or other records. May receive guidance from other Government QASAS.
Plans, prepares and inspects outgoing, over-the-road, ammunition shipments to ensure compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Army Regulations.
Reports all violations to Supervisor or QASAS and provides input for ammunition condition report (ACR), as required.
Inspects field returns for damage and serviceability. Inspects and classifies ammunition and containers to determine corrective measures required.
Performs renovation, remarking and re-stenciling, as required.
Segregates irreparable/unserviceable items and prepares for shipment, as directed.
Operates/maintains appropriate Logistics Information System for required tasks.
Performs other administrative tasks and duties as determined by the Supervisor.
Compiles/Prepares reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly, as required).
Performs other duties, as needed to perform as Inspector or Ammunition Handler.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Working Environment/Physical Activities:
Work is generally conducted in an out-of-doors environment with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.

Qualifications
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Formal training in ammunition handling is required as outlined in AMC-R-350-4 table C-1 through C-4. Training such as 89B (Ammunition Specialist) or 89A (Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist) is highly preferred. Training in ammunition breakdown, distribution and accountability. Special Technical Training in Ammunition such as that conducted by the Defense Ammunition Center, Savanna, IL is also preferred although, equivalent practical experience gained through recent, extensive, day-to-day handling of ammunition may be acceptable in lieu of formal training.
Experience: Recommended four years' experience in receipt, issue, storage, shipment, and accountability of ammunition. Mandatory training is required as outlined in AMC-R-350-4 table C-1 through C-4. Must display an in-depth understanding of prescribed safety and security procedures relating to ammunition and explosives in accordance with DA PAM 385-64 and AR 190-11.
Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License prior to starting or by 30 days after employment.
Security Clearance: Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a CAC and SECRET Clearance. Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.

The Transportation Officer conducts pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections of all vehicles operated.
Provides written Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) at the end of each trip or shift and ensures that all potential safety defects are reported to the Transportation Supervisor.
Ensures that all permits and licenses are in order before beginning a trip. Notifies the Transportation
Manager if there are problems before initiating a trip.
The Transportation Officer ensures that vehicles have the necessary safety equipment before initiating a trip. Notifies the Transportation Manager if there are problems before initiating a trip.
Completes all necessary paperwork and reports in an accurate and thorough manner. Ensures that all reports are turned into the facility according to described policies and procedures.
The Transportation Officer ensures that detainees are properly secured prior to leaving a facility and while in a vehicle. Ensures that all paperwork is obtained and completely accurately and thoroughly when obtaining detainees at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations.
