**Job Description**
As a member of the logistics organization, the Logistics Planner-Warehousing will support the Regional Warehouse Manager. They will assist warehouse managers in assigned region with inventory capacity reviews, establishing best practices, provide on-site training, perform warehouse evaluations, and project management.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Manage operational improvement along with warehousing/distribution inventory optimization.
+ Analyze inventory levels and supports the development of a replenishment strategy with Supply Chain
+ Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reductions leading action to realize improvements
+ Analyze inventory levels in assigned locations and drive reduction of aged inventory.
+ Assist in analyzing current network and advise on current capacity/utilization of all warehouses.
+ Implement best in class warehousing processes and practices that drive operational efficiencies.
+ Lead racking optimization projects on site with assigned teams.
+ Implement best practice logistics principles, policies and, processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
+ Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics processes
+ Lead a safety culture throughout department. Support all safety initiatives.
+ Undertakes other special projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or closely related equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics preferred.
+ Experience in planning software, logistics scheduling, BI tools, and WMS/TMS systems.
+ Ability to lead in a team setting, solid written, verbal communication & interpersonal skills.
+ Above average knowledge of North American Geography related to freight lanes and back haul opportunities.
+ Ability to present and work at all organizational levels, internally & externally.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications.
+ Experience with data analytics and analytic software.
+ Demonstrated ability to identify, process, and execute value added project work that results in bottom line savings for the company.
+ Demonstrated ability to organize, participate in, and lead teams.
