About the Internship
This logistics internship will provide students with the opportunity to connect classroom logistics and supply chain knowledge with real-world experience. Interns will gain exposure to and experience in account management, sales, customer service, carrier development, and other aspects of Stutsman Logistics, Inc.'s day to day operations. Throughout the internship, students will develop and strengthen their communication skills, networking/collaboration, problem solving and analytical thinking.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Carrier Manager team to identify specific shipping lanes and markets where additional carrier capacity is needed
Develop an understanding and gain the ability to utilize company system(s) to accomplish tasks including the Transportation Management System (TMS), McLeod
Assist the Account Manager team with department processes, such as order entry and appointment scheduling
Use capacity sourcing software to locate carriers matching specific lane needs
Create carrier profiles and lane preferences in the operating system for new carriers
Assist the Carrier Manager team to ensure tracking requirements are met
Participate in the sales processes for both current and potential customers in collaboration with the sales team including pricing, bidding and platforms, cold calling, prospecting, effective marketing, customer visits, account set up, and debriefs
Requirements:
Only students that are in their senior year as of August 2025 will be considered for this internship
Must be a student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field
Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and self-discipline
Possess strong leadership characteristics and be actively involved in college activities
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation

Job Purpose
The Industrial Logistics Intern will be responsible for supporting the logistics operations teams with analysis, data, and solutions to optimize material flows and system environments within CNH manufacturing facilities. Including support for KPI, identifying bottlenecks, modeling and analyzing routes, and supporting strategic decisions with data driven insights.
This internship role will support the team in these tasks with assisting in data reporting and preparation, as well as supporting in project work contributing to ongoing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
* Regional plant data collection, system simplification, and dashboard creation
* Supporting logistics flow transformation projects
* Acting as a change agent by challenging existing processes and using data to support improvements
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams across both facilities to provide support for logistics operations
* Assisting with creating standards for processes and metrics
* Engaging in project management and task organization
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analystics, or a related field
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $18.00 - $35.50 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
