We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team in supporting Army tactical programs. As a Software Engineer specializing in Mobile Network Engineering, you will design, develop, and maintain mobile network solutions with a focus on edge computing and advanced mobile network protocols to enhance the capabilities and performance of our systems. This position is remote. Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain software applications using one or more of the following technologies: Kotlin, Rust, JavaScript, Java, C#, or C++. Design and implement mobile network solutions for edge computing environments. Work with Layer 3 and Layer 4 network protocols, including but not limited to Multicast, TCP, UDP, QUIC, and NORM. Optimize mobile network performance to ensure reliability and security in varying operational environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and mobile network issues. Ensure mobile network solutions comply with security and performance standards. Successful Forward Deployed Engineers demonstrate competency in integrating advanced technologies into existing business processes, building new functionality, ensuring successful software development, analysis, or deployments, and working closely with customers. Collaborate with other RAPTR software engineers, modelers, and analysts to optimize performance for large-scale simulations. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and availability. Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure, networks, and simulation workloads. Stay current with advances in cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance RAPTR capabilities. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Active DoD Secret security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ORSA, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years in performing complex data analytics such as building AI/ML models, or physics-based models. Previous experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) tools Experience with briefing and engaging with DoD customers. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
