The Work:
Team with clients on their SAP functional transformation programs through your combined SAP application and functional process expertise which includes your ability to:
+ Engage with client executives on the business challenges/trends and the potential value of SAP solutions (current & future)
+ Lead customers in defining their SAP journey through the development of business cases & roadmaps including during sales origination, proposal development and client presentations

Here's what you need:
+ Minimum of 7 years of SAP functional and technical experience/expertise in Transportation Management (TM).
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP projects supporting CMT clients (SAP support / managed services experience will not be considered for this requirement)
+ Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP S/4 implementations, including project planning, estimation and solution architecture for CMT clients
+ Experience managing SAP delivery teams, in a Global Delivery Model, including but not limited to the following responsibilities: driving complex workshops and leading design decisions, as well as leading the design and execution of system build, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live in the SAP TM area
+ Prior experience in an Advisory/Consulting role
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

The USAC Logistics Modal Manager is responsible for developing and executing USAC Domestic operational standards, and strategies for truckload, intermodal, LTL, and parcel modes. Leading Modal Policy & Strategy Development
Develop and maintain KPI standards for Truckload Intermodal, LTL, and Parcel in alignment with the Transportation Excellence Capability Hub.
Collaborate with our Sourcing teams to create strategic content and playbooks to balance cost, service, and quality across modes.
Lead carrier, route, and mode selection both during and outside of annual bid cycles
Owning Optimization and Productivity
Drive strategic plan initiatives (e.g. Parcel to LTL, LTL Consolidation, modal shifts) to achieve financial targets.
Own and monitor mode-level cost performance for Truckload, LTL, and Parcel.
Partner with Finance and Procurement on budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance reviews
Advancing the Service Journey
Define and own performance strategy at the lane level, including service definitions for cross-border transportation.
Ensure provider service delivery meets contracted KPI's across all domestic carriers
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for service deviations.
Driving Performance with Partners
Lead escalation and deviation management with truckload, intermodal, LTL, and parcel carriers.
Develop and maintain carrier roadmaps to align with enterprise EHS, safety, and sustainability targets.
Drive digital connectivity for real-time visibility, milestone tracking, and emissions reporting.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Seven (7) years of Supply Chain Operations experience in supply chain / logistics with direct experience managing truckload, intermodal, LTL, or parcel modes in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master's degree in Business discipline from an accredited institution.
Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics and multi-modal operations experience with combination of transportation modes including but not limited to: FTL, IM, LTL, Rail, Flat- Bed, Parcel, Dedicated and Cartage.

* Lead and coordinate purchasing and leasing functions.
* Operational (daily) and Tactical (monthly) ownership of S&OP including but not limited to updated forecast, production plans and raw material plans, collaborating with the sales team to manage availability for oversold/undersold forecasts. Work with purchasing and plant teams to analyze capacity and supplier allocations. Full ownership.
* Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
* Analyze forecast and actual sales history for trends and maintain optimal safety stock and inventory levels to ensure product availability.
* Be responsible for the accuracy of the data in SAP that drives the system interface and subsequent output (delivery dates, lead-times, minimum order quantity, safety stock, etc.).
* Maintains and controls inventory levels.
* Raw and Pack cycle count process ownership. Book counts, investigate issues, BOM maintenance and sharing across plants.
* Coordinates engineering changes in raw materials.
* Keeps managers informed on issues and concerns that affect shipments.
* Works with vendors on effecting JIT shipments.
* Works with the quality department and vendors to resolve vendor quality issues.
* Develops and supports programs to prevent Safety and Environmental nonconformities.
* Actively contribute to the plant strategic vision as part of the plant leadership team
* Drive for world class supplier performance utilizing root cause corrective action methodology for both supplier quality issues as well as delivery issues.
* Decision making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization
* Influences others outside of their own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures
* Must be able to communicate with executive leadership
* Supports relationships through effective communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge with computerized manufacturing systems and Excel spreadsheets.
* Leadership and integrity; manages by fact, achieves results, builds teams
* Project Management experience preferred.
* Metal industry experience
* Good knowledge of SAP Knowledge of JDE preferred
* Good understanding of quality management ISO 9001
* Self-motivated, highly organized, goal-oriented and driven towards continuous improvement

* Utilizes vision and purpose, provides direction, inspires, and motivates
