Position Overview
Reporting to the Warehouse Director, the Inventory Manager is responsible for tracking inventory movements in our warehouse network ensuring that items are accurately recorded, tracked, and reported.
This role will operate primarily out of our Van Nuys Warehouse at 16333 Raymer St., Van Nuys, CA 91406 and our other facilities as needed. These include, but are not limited to, Baby2Baby HQ in Culver City and other locations in Santa Monica and South Gate, CA. This role is onsite 5 days a week, in both office and warehouse settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leads annual inventory audit count, collaborating with on-site teams at each location as well as Baby2Baby's accounting and auditing teams.
Works closely with the Warehouse Director to keep the warehouse management system accurate at all times.
Oversees the timely and accurate entry of inbound items, both donated and purchased, in the warehouse management system. Communicates with Warehouse Managers and inventory staff to track progress and identify problems.
Manages data entry personnel responsible for processing inventory purchases and stock transfers.
Analyzes warehouse stock levels and trends; communicates recommendations and/or concerns to the Warehouse Director and internal teams.
Leads frequent spot and partial audits and implements cycle counts of physical inventory; tracks aged inventory and monitors expiration dates.
Maintains weekly/monthly inventory records to share with management and other key stakeholders.
Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Management. Develops solutions and preventative measures for inventory-related issues.
Provides clear verbal and written updates to the Head of Warehouse Operations.
Assists Warehouse Management with setting minimum stock levels.
Operates pallet jack and forklift when necessary.

Purchase Order (PO) & Documentation Management
Review POs for accuracy, ensuring correct styles, quantities, delivery windows, and cost data.
Ensure all vendor documents (packing lists, commercial invoices, labels, etc.) comply with company and 3PL requirements.
Reconcile any mismatches between PO data and shipment contents, escalating issues to Buying/Production as needed.
Vendor & Internal Communication
Provide vendors with routing instructions, packaging requirements, and shipping guidelines.
Follow up with vendors on ship dates, delays, or missing documents.
Keep internal teams updated on shipment status, risks, and timeline changes affecting inventory availability or product launches.
Data & Systems Management
Maintain real-time shipment tracking logs or dashboards.
Update ERP or inventory systems with shipment statuses and receipt confirmations from the 3PL.
Analyze inbound performance and identify recurring issues with vendors or carriers.

About the Role:
We are looking for a leader who can adapt to the changing regulatory environment combined with a dynamic company operations environment and that can establish practices that
position our company as a leader in trade compliance within the space and defense sectors.
The import/Export Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of import/export compliance to ensure that our operations align with both domestic
and international regulations. This position will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization from U.S. export regulatory compliance risks while facilitating our enterprise
operations across 6 business operations sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
Generate and submit import/export hardware/tech data license applications for the Department of State, Department of Commerce, and the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Research and determine ITAR USML Category and Commerce Department Export Control Classification Number (ECCN)
Ensure compliance with approved U.S. export authorizations
Monitor and ensure compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and, Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Track status of all export authorizations (TAA's, WDAs, MLAs, ITAR licenses, etc.) from initial internal requests, through governmental approval, through any updating/amendments, to closure
Draft Technical Assistance Agreements, Warehouse Distribution Agreements and Manufacturing License Agreements for review, then submittal to the Department of State
Draft and maintain Export Compliance Program policies and procedures
Train new hires on the importance of export compliance as well as create a yearly training program for current employees consistent with corporate guidance and assure that the document is properly documented, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization
Support managing a Technology Control Plan (TCP), with FOCI mitigation
Keeping up to date with changes to international trade regulations and laws
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Law, or a related field or a Certified Export Compliance Officer certificate
Minimum 5 years of Trade Compliance experience
Minimum 5 years working knowledge of ITAR, Commerce [EAR] and ATF
Minimum 3 years experience investigating ITAR violations and drafting voluntary disclosures
This is an on-site position in a lab
Up to 20% of travel to Import/Export/ITAR/Commerce/ATF conferences/training and/or situational investigative events will be required
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a classified environment, specifically in a FOCI-mitigated environment working under an SSA or Proxy Agreement
Auditing/situational investigative experience
Project management experience
Education and training experience
Active Secret clearance
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex compliance information clearly
Proven ability to work collaboratively with various departments and levels of management
