Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Negotiate vendor (vessel and NVOCC) contracts for US export container shipping commensurate with market conditions (ie.: Drewry index). Manage the export freight processes and activities to assure effective and efficient delivery of products and services to meet customer expectations.
Provide comprehensive and accurate US export freight pricing forecast for customer price quotes.
Set supplier policies, standard operating procedures and measurements to insure credibility and reliability of service to customers. Redefine business practices and standards as necessary.

Ensure that all complaints and feedback are handled quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer. Analyze complaints on regular basis for trends and reoccurrence. Publish findings and recommendations.
Reporting of cost and service and KPI's to commercial team and other stakeholders.
Approve all export freight bills and assure that freight invoices match contracted rates and are paid accurately and timely.
Identify skill gaps; develop education and training plans and development activities to ensure critical skills and expertise are maintained.
Lead cross SBU international trade council to oversee policy, procedure, best practices.
Responsible for investigating, identifying, analyzing, developing and in some cases implementing world class logistics information systems which can be used to reduced corporate supply chain costs while maintaining or improving service in line with departmental goals.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Monitor and supervise inmate, detainee, and/or resident activity per TCA policy. Follow sound safety practices and ensure that any injuries or accidents are reported in a timely and accurate manner per TCA policy. Take appropriate action in cases of serious or unusual incidents and emergencies circumstances.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and briefings as required. Maintain and promote effective communications and the proper flow of relevant information to management and fellow team members.
Maintain communication with Trip Management throughout the routed trip. Consult with Trip Management and/or Field Office Supervisor personnel in assessing situations and making decisions. Will not deviate from planned trip route unless cleared and/or directed by proper TCA authorities.
Complete preventive maintenance of equipment and ensure readiness of restraints, weapons, OIC kits, vehicles, etc.
