The Senior Transportation Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the TOM teams within a specific node and may include responsibilities for stand-alone sites as well. Strategic Responsibilities & Deliverables:

- Responsible for providing strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out) including labor planning, forecasting, and peak season planning
- Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and network-wide impact. Effectively leverages the Operations and Area Managers to solicit ideas and understand problems and challenges in the building.
- Networks with other leaders across the network to solicit and share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience
- Sets clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable
- Mentors and develops leaders and staff
- Participates in recruiting to identify and evaluate associates and internal/external candidates for promotion and hire.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, commerce, business administration or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
- Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations
- Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
- 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or logistics environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment

The Role
Our client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize the movement of DNA samples from customers to our labs across the Eastern Coast of the United States. In this role, you will be based out of our Louisville, Kentucky lab, and you will take ownership of regional logistics strategy-scaling and optimizing our dropbox network, proactively resolving high -priority shipping challenges, and leading relationships with some of our most important partner couriers. You will have a key role in negotiating rates, refining operational processes, and driving efficiency across the supply chain. This is an opportunity for an experienced last mile logistics professional to have a direct and measurable impact on the speed, reliability, and scalability of operations that power next -generation DNA sequencing.
Job Duties:
Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and scheduling of dropboxes at biotech hubs, universities, and research centers globally.
Expand our network of dropboxes
Work with new customers who have requested local DNA sample pickup to provide them with a dropbox and activate it.
Work with customer and facility contacts to gather necessary details and access permissions for dropboxes (dropbox pickup schedule, building hours, access cards, security protocols, etc.).
Collaborate with the revenue team to design and execute regional strategies for expanding and optimizing dropbox and courier networks
Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
Use internal tracking systems to monitor UPS shipments, and proactively address any delays, contacting couriers and/or dropbox contacts when needed
Monitor the logistics support inbox and respond promptly to customer inquiries about shipping issues, missed pickups, and general logistics questions.
Serve as a liaison between customers, labs, couriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate with customers regarding delays, missed pickups, and shipping concerns.
Drive supply chain and operational efficiency
Harness logistics data to fine -tune our network for maximum speed and efficiency.
Develop and implement data -driven pricing models to strengthen leverage in courier negotiations and optimize long -term cost structures.
Drive supply chain continuity by proactively managing inventory levels and ensuring dropboxes and materials are optimally distributed across key locations.

Requirements
3+ years of experience in a logistics role with a focus on problem - solving and process improvement
2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations coordination (a plus if in a biotech, life sciences, or technology environment)
Experience improving logistics systems/processes for efficiency.
Experience in consumer - to - business shipping with overnight delivery timeframes.
Bachelor's degree supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (not totally necessary)
Experience with logistics software or inventory management systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, or similar)

About this Role
Our Logistics Coordinator - Inbound is responsible for managing all aspects of assuring the timely Receipt of goods from our customers, focusing heavily on, on time delivery. As a logistic coordinator of Inbound shipments, timely receipt of product is a priority to maintain credibility in the market space and reduce our opportunity for failures. Additionally, a logistic coordinator is well-versed in supply management planning, principles and practices. Responding immediately to changes in Supplier delivery schedules, discrepancies between receipts and Ampacity PO quantities or part numbers. The Logistics Coordinator - Inbound will immediately advise the SCALE team of changes in supplier shipment schedules.

What You'll Do
Plan and track shipments of goods to RPCS receiving locations according to requirements
Maintain accurate, real time information in our NetSuites platform regarding customer delivery schedules based on supplier delivery commitments.
Immediately advise Manager of any delays in receipts and advise of any possible corrective and mitigating actions.
Immediately adjust receiving information for inbounds arriving with errors for inaccurate counts, inaccurate part numbers, over shipments and short ships. Request and receive RMAS from suppliers as needed.
Create inbounds, as needed, for inbounds which arrive with no notification or manifests. Drive corrective actions with suppliers.
Reconcile Supplier invoices with Net Suite receipts as needed.
Using trucking company data bases daily to look for trucks which are inbound without schedules. Check for BOL errors or changes for in transit trucks.
Work with suppliers to close open Po's. Support suppliers or RPCS as needed to clear payments.
Master the Net Suites transactions, Searches and Reports needed to complete job assignments.
Prepare accurate weekly reports for PM teams to ensure full view of Sites shipment status.
Mitigate possible shipping disruptions through tracking and managinglogistics from initial sales order creation to final destination.
Support the PM's with shipments needed to address customer field needs.
